I used to buy a can of cherry coke and a crunchie bar for 48p on the way home from school.

First bag of chips I remember buying cost 18p.

I remember when cans of coke and the like were 30p in the corner shop when I was a kid in the early/mid 90s. I can also remember when 500ml of coke came in big cans and not bottles like today.

The increase in packet size and the reduction of contents is definitely on the climb. Wagon wheels used to be massive, hence the name, but now they're more like office chair wheels. Cost more too.

We were just speaking about that at work the other day, and what a disappointment they are now!

Looking at that Makro link, they all mostly appear to be made by Haribo. Wasn't anything Haribo around in the 90s. It was all Swizzels, Matlow, Basset, etc on the mix-up counter.

Freddo's are now 25p, that's 25% more than they used to be and don't even get me started on how they were only 10p a few years back! Fuming! I'm going to write to my MP and demand the government looks into this vile action!!!

Sod Freddo. Look at the humble Kinder Egg. Back when I was tearing up the mean streets (of rage) they were 20p odd and today I've seen them as high as 56p!!

Also gone are the 1p 2p sweets, they are all pre-packed by the store in bags for 50p a bag.
