Overclock not working

At this stage, it's looking like your board just isn't up to the challenge. If I was gonna change anything I'd look for a cheap 2nd hand Asus P5Q, which are the dog's for overclocking. Or just enjoy your PC for a while and when you need to get more juice jump to a newer socket.

Ok well thanks for trying to help me anyway mate, il bump up this thread when ive installed my new PSU and tried overclocking with that

edit just did a quick google search and came accross this what someone posted

"Keep in mind that the GA-G41 mobo generally has a FSB limitation of around 345+/-. That severely limits the upside potential when using a low multi cpu like the Q8300. 2.6ghz is about all you can expect."

Yeah, leave that alone or it'll throw everything out. Your gfx card will be affected by that. Looks like you're stuck where you are then. Ah well, that chip is fine for now, if you decide to upgrade you'd be better saving up and getting a 2500k and clock the nuts off it. Just run yours until you actually need more CPU grunt.
