Been out of the loop a bit recently, making an effort to avoid the current crop of CPUs but i'm getting the urge again.

A 2600K running at those speeds will be faster and you have the additional hyperthreaded cores.

Unless you really want Z77 then I probably wouldn't change. I'd just buy a Z77 board and put your 2600K in it

I asked to add the Samsung Green 8gb kit instead of the 4gb of 1333mhz stuff. Only cost about £20 extra.

i just brought the same but with more ram and will put together myself . works out cheaper but get more ram

I wondered about this, but when it arrived it booted at 4.2ghz. :cool:

Ram is at 1600mhz and I'm going to leave it there.

On another note, what temps do others that have bought this bundle get ? I'm on 40c at idle and about 65/70c after an hour of gaming. Maybe I need to re-do the thermal paste ? (Arctic Silver)

I would sell bundle with 8gb dual channel 1600mhz ram... Since single channel 4gb would most likely be thrown in a bin, and you cant run bf3 with 4gb, I tried and it was very bad.

1333mhz at times when 2133 mhz is affordable doesnt make sense either.
