Does that mean you've almost got it figured out? :D

Most buyers buy higher wattage PSUs than they will ever use. The primary power users are CPU and GPU .. say 200 watts each, maybe 250 watt max for one. That's 500 watts plus say 100-150 watts for fans, lights, USB & etc. and we at at 650 watts. That's a long way below 800 watt. :p

Seriously, I don't mind brainstorming your build with you, but sometimes I'm not in a position to to research or write a long detailed reply. Sometimes I don't even look as posts for 10-12 hours. :D
Ii will go 750w i always prefer to add atleast 30% to what i really need i will be using a hero x mobo a nvme drive an ssd and normal drive

the problem with these pre binned chips is they seem to be binned at silly high voltages like 1.4+, so the temps would be pretty insane on a HTT chip at those voltages.

I think most CL chips could do 5ghz at 1.4v, even poorly binned ones, so I am not convinced personally of the merit of buying a 5ghz binned chip at 1.4v.

Before I get myself in trouble, I know I dont have 100s of chips in front of me to confirm my claim of "most chips could probably do 5ghz at 1.4 or higher" :)

I do understand OCUK's stance tho, whatever the merits of these binned chips, if they selling the system with a chip running to a particular heat profile, they will want to make sure that out of the box its running at parameters they are prepared to support with warranty.

I am not sure yet if I will get a binned one. I might just play the lottery and get a standard one.
