I much prefer OCUK to **ahem**, Love the deals etc. they have.

As for paypal, why bother? it's not all it's cracked up to be and you can use a debit card to purchase... i did

Best thing about OCUK, IS the fact everytime I've ordered something, It's arrived, It's been well packed and it's worked.

Can't say the same for the other 2 E-Tailers that are direct competition to OCUK. Even if they are £5-£10 cheaper at times

As for paypal, It'd be nice.

Being able to use Paypal is a nice convenience, however I have free delivery from Multiplay i30 LAN for a competitor, it comes via courier and it isnt next day but it is always 1-2 days.

I would order a lot more from OCUK if it did something similar as the P&P really does make a difference if im buying say RAM x for £85 its going to cost me £85 from competitor or £85 + £5 or so P&P from here.

I'm afraid competitor rules aren't flexible - not when it's a direct competitor.

I don't mind discussions of paypal, shipping and so on - it's good feed back for OcUK, just don't give our competitors adverts on our bandwidth :)

We are looking into PayPal & Google Checkout currently but key is trying to get the fees down...

Watch this space!

..It's been well packed ...

I have to say my last two orders have been appalling packaged :/

I received 4GB of ram today that arrived with no padding whatsoever - only their plastic clear covers with a city link plastic bag around them (to no doubt embark on a journey around the back of a van :(), which left one of the boxes missing a corner. This is the second time this has happened and the first time the person replying regarding the webnote left to them said that "..[he'd] look into it".

One thing about two competitors I can think of is that they package things very well and charge less for P&P.

personally i think that the postage thing seriously lets down ocuk.... some competitors do free postage over a certain amount, i reckon oc should look in to doing somthing like that

yeah same for me. I received a new motherboard today and it wasen't very well packed and the plastic cover to protect the motherboard was cracked :/

Other than that OCUK have been great both for service and prices.

Google Checkout please! That would then stop me using my debit card online and help against potentially issues I thinks. Plus I like logging spending on Google.

(Sure they have my details, but chances are Google has yours too :D)

I'm a bit peeved at this weeks offer on the OC'ed Q6600 system they got, dropped it to £749 ex. VAT! (£880 inc.)
OCed system cheap!

My system in sig (with Vista as well mind) was £860 total and the pre-built one is marginally better. Thats what makes this site unique.

However, if i was to buy the aprts i did on this site, my system would be near the £1000 mark, being more expensive on every single part i bought. It's swings and roundabouts.
