Overclockers selling 9900ks

To be fair here... the Intel chips show more headroom under sensible cooling, and bear in mind he is an overclocker.
True true, and if you want to play around with pure numbers then that's fine. Personally though, if I was going to sell systems billed as the ultimate performance for the unlimited budgets then Intel wouldn't even get a look in since Zen 2 landed. I mean come on, who'd spend £10,000 or more on an X299 system when a Threadripper 3 obliterates it?

If you're dropping this much money on a system you're in that "money is no object for ultimate performance" crowd, and you'd have to be ill-informed or a fanboi to even consider X299 over TRX40.

Oh, and if you're of a professional overclocking persuasion, I do believe the RAM speed and single core records are held by AMD hardware.

So if you're pushing the "ultimate" performance systems coming from a pro, record-holding overclocking background, yet not using Zen 2 kit, then that screams Intel backhanders and/or shill. Outside of the 990K(S) vs 3950X gaming debate, Zen 2 wins.
