BUT THE QUESTION IS: WILL SPIE PAY TAX IN THE UK?

popcorn.gif

yes, when he owned ocuk, taxed was paid, look at the company house records.

Not sure if the uk has found a way to tax the beach you sun on, you never know.

i hope all is well with you two :)

yeah they're fine, i meet up with her a couple of times a week just to do the things for her that seabiscuit cant manage, she always says how well they get on etc..
im cool with them being engaged as its just sex for me, ive no plans to take her for myself atm

:p

Why do people feel the need to post slanderous things about OcUK?

For example http://www.techpowerup.com/160157/Caseking.de-Acquires-Overclockers-UK.html

One of the comments regarding this article said

I wonder if it will stop OcUK's pricing shenanigans. Yesterday the MSI 7970 was £437 (not any special offer) and today it is £459.

OcUk intentionally fluctuates pricing to use later as a sales tool. I know most retailers do it but OcUK to it to the nth degree. Hopefully some German retail ethic will seep in.

Yesterday it was on This Week Only, this morning it has come off This Week Only.

Is it wrong that I don't agree with this? Just that i'm concerned that CaseKing are going to start "meddling" with a formula that works, changing things that don't need it, etc.

Plus I always assumed Spie would move it on to NathWraith, and so on... etc. - just seems a shame it's ended up becoming another faceless corporate entity. :(

I think a lot of people will kick off on here if it does affect staff.

I think the staff of ocuk are great and would never deserve to lose their jobs.
Never met any in person but they have been nothing but helpful with orders and RMA etc.

You could find a lot worse tbh Ace.

And it's the Internet.

"This takeover will affect 40 members of staff at OCUK."

Why does the article say that? :\

Yep, according to the Internets Porsche engines are unreliable and explode, funny that in reality it is the opposite.

aha i remember this place back in 1999 a tiny company just starting out in the internet world

13yrs later... sold for 50m euros.. muhaha

Curious to know how he can do that, since (I presume) he won't have a say in it after he's sold it and I doubt he made it a condition of sale.

Spie will still be around, the same management team is in place and as such there is no plans to change something that works.

Nothing will change - unless something changes - then it'll change. Oh yes.
