Overclockers UK and DPD Predict Service

I do like this system and DPD is one of the reasons I order from overclockers. Main reason is haribos ofc.

No Yodel/DHL nonsense which turns up whenever the lazy **** feel's like delivering it.

This is what happens to me almost everytime I use somewhere other than Overclockers. I guess it depends on your area as the driver's around London seem really good.

Due to unreliable couriers from other companies I now shop at overclockers almost exclusively. Free postage too, cannot complain. Even if it didn't arrive I wouldn't mind.

i often get parcels through DPD whether items for pc or household stuff and they have never let me down yet all though did have 1 poor driver who had to stand at my door for 15mins as he got here early lol we had nice chat and made him a coffee
 
I love DPD delivery, but what I do find weird is often there will be packages turning up for someone else on the street - then a separate van turns up with my order (Up to 6hours later). Spoke to the chap who normally delivers mine and it seems like there is about 6 different drivers working my area, what a waste of fuel!

Funny story is I was waiting for new RMA replacement graphics card and the DPD van turned up for next door (I didn't know this), I caught a look of it out of the window and waited patiently. Next thing I know he's fired up his van and drove off! Excitement followed by extreme disappointment - needless to say my replacement turned up an hour later.

Hmm, I didn't get a text the other day when my order was due, just checked my account and my number is there.
 
Great service from dpd, never had a problem, RM on the other hand... I forgot to order some TIM and when i pressed confirm order it said del. by RM, gutted. That was 2 weeks or more ago and still not arrived. But big thx to 5UB for sorting me some more. Apart from RM this is why i will use ocuk for most of my purchases, they would get the lot if they stocked everything. I need another fan extension cable but thinking what else i can buy just so postman pat dosn't deliver.
 
I have only used DPD once for next day delivery, unfortunately I must have hit a bad time since my delivery was late. Thankfully OcUk offer such great service that they cut the cost of the delivery :)
 
I agree DPD are excellent.
Was no sure what to expect the first time but I was very impressed with the service.
 
I do have a problem with dpd service, they text you the night before the date which is great but not the time window. Every bloody delivery they text me the same morning with window which is useless because you cant change the date then! with the school runs its not possible to be at a certain time if i knew the time the day before i could change it no?

How would they know the time window before actually setting off? I imagine all they do is have a system set up so it sends you the text when they confirm having completed another delivery close to you.

The time is calculated when the parcels are loaded onto the delivery drivers van and the route is calculated then. They cannot do it the night before as DPD do not know themselves until it is at the local depots and with the delivery drivers. :)
