Overclocking / Motherboard Problem

Hello. I have a problem that i hope somebody maybe able to help me with.
Up till this afternoon i was able to overclock my E6550 on a P35C-DS3R to 3.2mhz with no problem. I had a problem in that it would not post after a reboot. So i reset the bios. Now it will not overclock at all.
I can sent the fsb to 458*7 =3.2mhz in bios, when i reboot it shows on the post screen it is only at the default (333*7=2.33mhz), going back into bios it still shows that the fsb is @458.
Ive tried cpuz and also EVEREST Ultimate and both say the same thing the cpu is running at 2.33mhz.
I thought updating the bios might sort out the problem so i did, from the F10 to F11 but it hasnt.
Also if i used the load optimal settings in the bios it sets the fsb to 100*7 = 700Mhz which is below the default.
So any advice that anybody can give me would be gratefully excepted in getting this problem sorted.
Here are a couple of photo to show what im on about.

It probably just doesn't like the settings you've entered.
Will it hold any clock at all now? Try 334x7 and see if it saves that first.

Try to set everything manuel but at stock speeds and then save & exit then go back into the bios and overclock abit at a time and see if you can get back to where you was before , i would say make sure you disable the usual and dont try to run anything turbo which my P35-DS4 refuses to boot with when overclocked .

sorry for the delay in me answering, been at work since 5 this morning. I had it running for about 3 months @3.2Ghz with not a problem. I saved the overclock into one of the memory banks . I had a problem in that it hung before post after a reboot (which i hadnt done for a week or so). after a couple of time trying to get it to reboot and it wouldnt, so i cleared cmos, it then rebooted. I now can set a overclock in bios, but when i reboot all that is showing on the post screen is it still at default speed, even cpuz and EVEREST Ultimate show the speed to be 2.33Ghz. Ive tried to use the one i saved in the memory bank but it makes no differance.

Yes. here are a couple of pictures i have just taken.

Now on this board it has dual bios. could it be that it has gone into say bios 2 (if there is one) and this one cant be overclocked for whatever reason?

Hmm.try loading optimized default in the bios and start again, this seems to work for me when my system wont post the same as BIOS.

Ive done that (loading optimized default) a couple of times. and all i get is 100*7=700mhz. which is lower than the default which should be 333*7. Looks like i may have to get a new board on payday. roll on thursday lol.

The bios screen looks about the same as what i use but i change the pci express frequency , was your memory running @ 916 before ??? like you said it may be the board gone **** up .

yeah everything was the same as before. the memory ran @916 on the board before this one (P965-DS3) and also on this one no problem. i have even had a set of crucial ballistix PC5300(667mhz) running @916 on this board and also the DS3. i only changed the ram about 3 weeks ago. I sold the p965-ds3 at the weekend to my brother (wish i hadnt now). Ive put in the ballistix to see if it was the ram that was stopping me but that made no differance. i am using now OCZ Platinum XTC PC6400 (800)
