Overclocking my E8200 Log.

Well the temps should actually be lower because it's not flat and i kinda went paste happy.. and i mean really paste happy haha. So yeah, i might sand it down in a couple of months or so. Should bring load temps down about 3-5c i reckon.

Seems to easily sit happily at 5-4-5-12 timings, so gonna see if it'll take 4-4-4-12.

Edit: Haha or not.. Both thread in P95 failed. I'll try 5-4-5-15 then :/

Wow.. does leaving the side panel off make that much of a difference?!

Side panel off:
Idle: 41c
Load: 64c

Side panel on:
Idle: 43c
Load: 71c
Idle after stressing: 44c

Thats odd, I always though side panel on was better as the air from the fans got channled through better rather than just going out the side... Im shocked! lol

Haha. I guess because the heat can just escape out the big side area instead of being pushed around inside.
I always thought it would be better with it being off but not by that much! Lol.

Edit: Now it's being really difficult.. re-ran IntelBurnTest and got load temps of 66c haha.

And nah, it refuses to go to even 5-4-5-15. Perfectly stable at 5-5-5-15 though, so i guess that's that.

Overclocking session over! :( For now.

Will post full settings, temps and some 3DMark06 tests.

You have got to be joking.. re-ran and load temps of 71c again.. but i now why..
I had the front 'door' of the case open (atm i didn't put the 5.25" and 3.5" bay covers back on), that's why i was getting 5c lower temps..
Here's some pics.
