Hello all, received my Ivybridge 3770K Processor and Sabertooth Z77 today along with a H100 cooler! :)
I am now looking around the net to find out a few overclock settings :)]
If anyone has a similar setup and already attempted a overclock and been successful could you please post some settings, I can understand each processor will be different but I just need the basics to work with etc as this bios is a little different to what I am used to.
Thanks all

I have a i2550k @ 4.6ghz, though I think it crashed at some point overnight on Prime95. Will have a further look at overclocking it tonight.

That's on air with a Gelid Tranquillo, hitting 81c

Hello all, having spent a few hours surfing the net for various settings for an overclock I come up with this 4.5ghz overclock....

You got to love that bios screenshot addition

No huge long bench test but run linx for 45 minutes, temps do peak fairly high but that`s normal for these chips but in normal stress situations
like playing Battlefield 3 my temps are only 55c to 65c :)
If anyone can notice anything that can be tweaked that could help stability / temps etc please post away!

re:

Just a heads up on reading a little more into these ivy bridge chips it appears its not recommended to use stress testers like linx, intelburn or prime92 as it can damage the chip :eek:

mrix, thanks a lot for this thead. My settings:

BCLK 100
CPU voltage 1.175 (45 ratio)
VCCSA 0.925
CPU PLL 1.8
PCH 1.05

What I did was go into the bios and do the auto overclock thingy, and it took it up to 4.2. I then just played with the voltages on the CPU and multiplier, and happy with 4.5. Considering to remove the TIC though. Have you also thought about it?
