how do I do this????

The default speeds are not anywhere near right, cos the memory speed is ment to be 1.45gh and gpu is ment to be 625MHz, so whats going wrong guys?? at the so called defualt speeds 3dmark 05 is 11k

Also on my HIS ATI Radeon X1900 XT ICEQ 3 SILENT Heatpipe 512MB the fan is ment to have a blue light???...well there no lights on my card

There's no blue lights on the card, it has a UV sensitive cover though.

Also - might be worth reading about the differences between 2D and 3D clocks, as "omg my clocks are wrong?!" has been done to death about 10000 times. :(

I know theres 2 clocks for 2d and 3d but the info for the 3d says the cocks are 500/594???

your in 2d mode looking at the ccc so your clocks are at low(2d speed) 500/594
The higher requested speed u also see in ccc is your 3d clocks 621/720 :rolleyes:

and lol theres no blue lights with the card omg :o :D

Ah right.. Well how do I get the mem to overclock to 1.55ghz,, cos it will only go to 800 on the slider???

Its DDR, its been out how long now? 5 years probably. 800Mhz * 2 = 1600Mhz DDR.

The clock rate is 800Mhz but the data is sent on the rising and falling edges of the digital signal. Hence the DDR specification can be quoted which makes it seem twice as fast, but as always its never twice as fast.

..._...._
_1 1_1 1_

Do u see the rising and falling edges? (ignor the dots and the 1s are lines)

This post is not meant to be patronising, but for informational purposes only. Cant be patronising as u clearly did not now this to start with. ;)

*containes anger...*

There is a god dam sticky with this EXACT QUESTION!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *runs around screaming** AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

For the 22 billionth time:
500/600 = default clock
621/721 = defult 3D clock when a game starts

800DDR = 1.6ghz
1.45ghz = 725mhz DDR

Your clocks are correct.

To get to XT-X speeds set the core to 650 and mem to 775, or just run the automated clocking utility.

Job done.

remember true XTX's have faster gddr ram - or whatever its called ( 1.1ns i believe) which is why your score even when clocked wont be exactly like a "real" XTX card

Also the jump in score due to oc'ing the core and memory isnt that vast (compared to its unclocked state) so dont expect miracles

No, thats BS

Timings are the same for both cards IIRC. The difference in mem type only changes how far people can clock, 850-900 is the limit of 1.2ns when 1.1ns will do over 900.

CR.

:D changing the subject :D

my temps for my cpu has droped loads since ive had it, and I havent touch the heatsink and fan all, just to get the dust out.

First of all it was idleing at 45c, then I installed a fan on the side of my wavemaster to get the temps of my sli 6800gts down, and drilled holes in the side for the fan to draw air in. That brought the temp down to 38 - 41c

Then I upgraded to the black wavemaster, and cut a hole out for the fan at the side, that brought the cpu down to 34 - 38c.

Then with this new card, its brought the temps down to 28 - 30 idel.......Mental hey??? and people say wavemaster cases are rubbish for air flow???
