Overwatch

So frustrating that they are waiting for season 2 before removing sudden death. Is there a worse way to lose a close fought battle than the flip on a ****** coin? :(
I honestly do not know why they didn't simply base it on time taken to win or distance travelled for a lot of the maps.

Regarding toxic players I had someone who must have been in their 30s+ actually screaming in rage so much that they started wheezing. It was pretty amazing. Poor guy just got ribbed for being dumped and/or castrated as the rest of us were just bemused with it all. Terrifyingly we won too so god knows how that type of guy would be if he was losing.

I block any players that are arsehats on purpose for an entire round... I'm hoping you don't get matched with people you've blocked again.

8 games into my placement games, please let competitive mode get better.

Pretty much always forced to play tank or healer as everyone just jumps on attack/sniper heroes and the team composition is always a mess. Lost 4 won 4 so far...finding it a lower standard than just normal quick play... I would imagine an organised group that uses comms would absolutely walk 9/10 games.

thing is, it matches you with groups of an equal size nearly every time so the standard of play goes up all around.
it makes it much more fun though

I want to pick this up for PC so badly but after dropping £45 on the ps4 version and stats/unlocks not carrying over I just cant bring myself to do it.

Anyone playing this on a mid/low spec laptop?

I have a laptop with an i5 6200u and AMD 360m with 8gb RAM and I'm wondering how well it would manage this game.

Never understood why people buy these kinda games on consoles... your skill ceiling is massively gimped and it just doesnt feel right..

What the **** made u buy it on a **** ps4? Do u have a potato pc?

using a controller for FPS games is just as much of a skill as using keyboard mouse.

Come straight from PC to console for the first time and you'd wonder how anybody manages to be accurate with it. But given time and practice it comes. I play both and can quite easily manage recoil control on games like the division by pulling the stick down gradually to counteract the recoil just like you do with a mouse for example.

A lot of the people playing it on console don't own a PC for all the reasons people buy consoles (don't want to start a PC v console war here) and are quite content playing FPS games with a controller. They don't own a PC and don't miss using a keyboard & mouse as they've never really used one.

Yes, but this guy owns a PC... hence the question.

I don't think anyone is suggesting it doesn't need skill on a PC, it's just not as nice an experience.

Had a go at competitive. 3 matches, kinda like quickplay, no comms, but better team composition, and more, well, 'serious'. 3 wins, despite one quiter on Anubis. Played Lucio all three matches. Looks like that's gonna be the pattern for me :(

Also being super aggressive on offense, and absolutely not dying on defense seems to be the way to go.

Still hate KOTH.

His point was that "it doesn't feel right"

My point was that most people buying it console don't have a PC so it feels right to them. I own both, and know that controller isn't as precise as keyb + mouse but the "doesn't feel right" goes with time as you get used to the controller.

I'm perfectly happy with using either controller or keyb + mouse.

I actually played Overwatch Beta on PC with a controller and wasn't too bad.

Certainly not the worst on the team. You're never going to be top dog though.

I play with keyboard and mouse now though, as I had to really.

I suck with a controller in FPS since I've always played and preferred it on PC, but even still I reckon I could be semi-competent with certain classes (those where fast or precise aiming aren't so important to do well)

Last few days I've been playing exclusively Zen in comp and I am loving it... He's not exactly my main as I have plenty of hours clocked with other heroes; but I feel like I really contribute as him (even had a match last night where I got 4 golds and POTG, which amusingly enough was me discording then taking out an ult-int Soldier followed immediately by the same combo against an ult-ing Pharah!!!)

What did people make of the 3 a side lucio football? Thought it was a nice distraction.

Hardly a rocket-league competitor, but it's nice they can come up with unique things like that.
