Overwatch

Moe plays Ana but he's more interested in meleeing tanks than actually healing anybody so if you get into trouble don't rely on him =)

DPS Ana bruh, I do give you guys some nano boost though so it balances itself out I find. It always nice getting a POTG as a healer.

I like getting 3 golds as Zenyatta, with none of them being for healing :p

I should be on again tonight.

I tried out the 1v1 game mode too which on first impressions doesn't seem too well balanced as I seemed to stomp or be stomped. Still quite a fun if a little intense game mode to play especially as it forces you to play certain characters.

Arcade doesn't use rank based match making.

We have 4 core players, and normally we get 3 on at once.

There are an additional two that we very rarely get on.

Haha, your post just proves why you should completely ignore the level.

You should be at a higher level as you have a lot more experience, and those level 400 players who have only ever played Bastion (for example) are useless.

The matchmaking (which is enabled even in quickplay) works rather well, and is based purely on an ELO inspired system which rightfully completely ignores your level.

Grinding to a high level is absolutely not an indicator of skill, only how much free time you dedicate to gaming :)

What I really appreciate is that the game matches groups together, so if you are a group of 2-3 you won't get stomped by a group of 6.

Edit: I've never read any guides or watched a second of Overwatch on Twitch but still manage to squish most "high level" players. It's those level 30s with new accounts on free play weekends that always get me.

I wanted to wait a few days before replying so I could be absolutely sure, but either you're wrong or the system is broken. We've gone out of our way over the last few days to check ranks of players we're getting matched up with and overall it's mostly diamonds with a few masters mixed in. We can hold our own in Overwatch but with all due respect to the guys I play with, none of us should be getting matched up with high diamond and master ranks.

I think perhaps because everybody is on competitive the quick play matchmaking is suffering. Based on how long it takes to find a game, usually around 5 to 7 minutes. I think the game is trying it's best to find players of equal skill but after a while we just get matched with whatever is available. It was never like this on XBL, I started playing in the middle of a season on that platform as well. Only a few more levels to go though thankfully!

Mate did you forget I'm in the top 1% off DPS Ana's, clearly I should be a masters player.

However on a serious note non of that even matters, 4 of these guys are brand new to PS4, whatever ELO they have it low, I don't think in any world with SBMM that a lv15 players faces a Lvl 600 Masters player.

Honestly I think its population, we play in a team, right now most players in a team are in competitive and the few that are not can vary heavy in skill.

played my first games on competitive

first game 2 leavers and only lost in overtime
second game, rolled them
third game, 2 leavers got rolled, all snipers apart from me

must remain calm....
