On one hand, it seems silly.
On the other, if I’m in a place with a group of people and every single other person in the group is of the same race that’s different to me, then I have been self-conscious and ‘aware’ of it. It’s pretty rare to happen in the UK but I think that’s a pretty human reaction to have, when you are ‘the odd one out’ even if it’s for an entirely superficial reason
As such, I can see where these sentiments come from to a degree… but it can’t ever be a source of a ‘complaint’, and it shouldn’t be a cause of material suffering, without there being actual discrimination at play.
