Sadly won't be renewing my subscription... think my free month expired on the 1st November. The game just sort of dried up and I lost interest. It's a real shame as I had high hopes for this one.

Still waiting for something that can compete with UO.

Girlfriend said she fancies playing WoW again when WotLK comes out, so I may be pre-ordering after all.

I've played World of Warcraft since the start, I'm not a fan boy or anything like that, I don't get into all the hype around a game.

I Thought Warhammer was quite poor, didn't rate it as highly as World of Warcraft.

But I can't argue that World of Warcraft has declined, Blizzard have done too much tinkering (mainly to open the game up to a wider market and thus more money), and the burning crusade was a real big disappointment.

Gone are the good days of me and 39 chums sat in Naxx getting an earful for doing something wrong.

Play other games, don't be stuck with World of Warcraft, play other games you won't look back.
(saying that i still keep my account active and i still pop in to talk to people and see whats happening, oh and i have wrath ordered)

War is a very good game for what it offer's, pure PvP siege's. However it's not picked up that well as it doesn't give out that much XP to incent going into battle when you can do scenario's and get 10-20k easily (depending on what time of day it is).

I've not read up on Warcraft much but if they included XP as an incentive for doing PvP then i may give it a look sometime next year. I just dont think i can do the grind again without some variation involved.

the only thing im looking forward to now is the Knights of the republic MMO from bioware because im getting bored of the sword's and magic scenery, never got the chance to try out Galaxies.

Anyone else getting bored of the "Might & Magic" feel?.

I'm not going to preorder WOTLK simply because of the way it has changed the game.

The jump from preBC to TBC was dire - TBC to WOTLK takes it to a whole new level.

WAR however is failing to grip me either.

I'm waiting on a few things but am not holding my breath (Darkfall being one of them... it may well be the last resort, Runes of Magic which is free2play) but other than that I'm getting back into more FPSs etc.

Anyone else feel that the days of the MMO are quickly fading?

yup, the days of exploring just to see whats over the next hill have long gone.

anyone who fancies listening to some podcasts on the topic of mmo's you might be interested with this

I especially liked the asheron's call one.

I dont think it breaks any rules since they dont sell anything.

I ressubed personnaly, still playing with a few mates.
I love the game, can't wait for the patch that will improve it more(1.1)
I really can't bother with Wow crap anymore :p

I quit WoW a while before WAR came out, but WAR rekindled my mmo desire but I thought it was a poor game. How many times can one person bother to do Tor Anroc for gods sake !?!To me it felt like much more of a grind than WoW ever did.

Back on WoW now with a few friends all levelling new chars together, which imo is the fun bit. We did our raiding and thats out of our systems now, so its a nice leisurely game to play if you treat it as such and not a race to gear.

WAR was good fun while it lasted but just wasnt polished near enough, so ye I'll be trying out lich but I cant see myself doing much beyond getting to 80. Pre-TBC was indeed far superior, easymode epics and a lack of development of the pvp system has left it all a bit stale.

Tried WAR, didnt like it. Too quiet. People seemed to gather around the warcamps and only do the nearest PQ.

Cant wait for WotLK. 'Easy mode epics' and all. (took me 6 months raiding bolten more to get my T1, never again).

Give up WAR? Are you joking? After waiting 5 years for it to finaly arive theres nothing on earth (apart from death) that will prise me away from it.

Oh, I forgot to mention that since getting my new rig which I specificaly bought to play WAR on I havent touched WAR for 2 weeks as theres a whole 2-3 years of games to catch up on. Currently playing X3 Terran Conflict and about another 20-30 games that I missed out on due to crap PC, WOW & City of Heroes/Villains.

But WAR will be staying for at least 6 months or so.

Not resubbed on War and have not gone to WoW. I have returned to playing what I consider the only decent MMO out there at present and thats LOTRO.

I tried WAR I really liked it but none of my guildies would budge from WoW. When your playing on your own it gets quite dull quite quick. I might go back to it after a while.

But I've always had wotlk on pre-order it was never my intention to leave WoW all together I'm still really enjoying the game.

Having said that ive been playing Fallout 3 quite a bit lately. Dont let MMO's destory your other gaming experiences !!!

My mate has actually quit WoW and gone to war he got really ****** off when he tryed downloading the 6.something patch it just wouldn't work he had no fire walls on and still it wouldnt download it was quit funny for me but i could see he was ****** off as i sat next to him respeccing my 70 warrior and now hes sold his 70 rogue for £70 quid which is laughable because he was full epic, but from what ive seen of WAR i will not be going near it and cant wait for WOTLK!

Yeah I quit War for WoW exp. Seems nothing can beat WoW except WoW 2.

Blizzard have commenting they're working on another MMO, but it wont be WoW v2.0.

So true, but if you're strapped for cash and have a habbit for buying game's it's a good excuse to play an MMO than buying New £40 games.

i got a bit fed up with WAR, didnt renew, it just didnt hold me, trying to re-kindle my css addiction, certainly having more fun in it than ive had in an mmo in a fair while, that and things like fallout 3 make other nice destractions away from the mmo market

I've quit WAR and gone back to Eve. I can see me picking War up again in the future, I liked what it was trying to do but it just wasn't working for me. Sooooo shallow. Instant PVP is good, but not when it's utterly irrelevant, braindead pvp that might as well be PVE. But to be fair, that's partly Eve's fault, dying without consequence just seems ridiculous after you've done PVP with the threat of real disasterous loss.

Quit WOW pre-TBC and tried WAR beta, it was ok but after WOW im just burnt out on mmo's. I cant see me ever going back to it, the thought of levelling again makes me feel sick, and playing it again would be like a nostalgia trip, and nostalgia trips always end up in bitter disapointment. Prefer just to remember the game as it was and fun I had in it, until it broke me.

Still subbing to WAR here, I'm a slow leveller though and an altaholic. I'll be interested to see what it has to offer once I hit 40 and get tired of RvR.

Certainly not going back to WoW, never really saw the attraction. Feel a bit like Tombstone and some of the others - spending a lot more time on xbox 360 singleplayer games, getting really tired of mmo's that are nothing but a succession of themeparks, where everything just resets after you've beaten it.
