Pad or keyboard

Makes no odds to me as I can have both plugged in at once and switch when required. For example, in GTA V I'll use a controller for vehicles and switch to KB+M when I need to aim properly with a weapon on foot.

Saying that, I'm not sure it's that seamless for all titles. I'll use KB+M when I need precision aiming in shooters. Can't remember the last time I purely used a controller in a game, probably Forza Horizon 4.

I find driving games and a few console ports, mainly fighty type games, are easier with the pad. I do hate the damn thing though, and don't leave it plugged in because some games auto-detect and assume that's the option I want. I have to close the game, unplug it and restart. TBF, these games do the same if I leave my HOTAS connected too, as mine registers as a generic Windoze controller.
The pad lives in a drawer until I fire up something that works better with it.

I use M/KB for RTS, Civ and Xcom type games, pad for everything else.

I don't play many FPS, but it would be my preference to use KBM, with games like Batman, Shadow of War, Witcher 3, definitely the pad. Tactical/strategy games, definitely mouse and keyboard.

Pretty much just driving games I use the pad for. There are some odd titles that do work better with pad but for the most part it's KBM all the way

I think games like resident evil are defo pad tho

Why? When you have to aim with guns then a good portion of PC players are going to prefer a mouse to do so. I've not played it but a quick look at a gameplay video I can tell I would want to be aiming with a mouse rather than a controller.

Use a beautiful Xbone pad with "rubberised diamond grip" for every game. It's just a delight. Interestingly, it looks like the DualSense for PS5 is almost a match for the shape of the Xbone controller so maybe that'll be the next best thing.

Something like gears of war, I've flip flopped between mouse and pad. Generally end up with mouse though.

Well i always used pad for resi back in the day as they were console games things like fifa and driving as well i prefer cod games fps game for kbm

I very rarely play with a gamepad, only the few times when I want to play PC games on my sofa. Even most third person games I feel more comfortable using a kb/m

Everything else is done with kb/m, or flightstick for flying games, and a wheel for racing games.

its really easy for me
third person: pad
frst person: KB+M

somthing just feels wrong using keyboard/mouse when i can see my character.
same with first person gamepad just feels wrong
