Depends on how good the keyboard and mouse controls are, which also depends on how complex the original gamepad controls are, if originally designed for gamepad (as all console ports are).

Sometimes it's almost impossible to get a decent keyboard and mouse scheme if the gamepad controls require complex button combos and quick-time events.

KBM for everything except driving, even in GTA type games I'll swap between KBM and gamepad depedning on whether on foot or in a vehicle.

I just have no accuracy at all with a gamepad and hate how it makes X and Y movements feel completely disjointed.

FPS is the only genre I like to use the keyboard. Everything else is pad.

Almost always use a mouse and keyboard; I'll only use a pad if it's necessary or for the odd game which provides a noticeably better experience.

RTS, management games and MMO's KB+M. When I used to play FPS more competitively also KB+M.

Flight sim with Joystick. Everything else Xbox Elite controller.
