paintballing

LOL you girls! I wore jeans, a T-shirt then like a thin top over that, then the overalls. Didn't feel a thing apart from when it hit the neck (ouch!) and then sometimes on the leg.

As for the mask steaming up, theree a rules to keep going back to the main change area right? Well this is what happened with me and each time you got special spray and a tissue to de-steam.

Running and shouting like the movies won't hit everybody, remember to plan your attack and use your paints wisely in each session.

I had a normal jumper plus the overalls they gave and still came out with a few injuries, the thing is you have that much fun you don't focus on any pain or cuts until you leave!

Try not to focus on getting hurt or trying to over protect yourself, if them goggles steam up and you can't want to take the mask off you will be in trouble!

The worst bit for me was about 6 v 1 (me) and my gun jammed, the guy shot my hand at point blank three times!

Enjoy it and come back tomorrow telling us about your day! :D

Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or torn underneath. Wear boots if you can, rather than trainers, as it'll be easier to clean and they provide support for your ankles. Althoug I just wore trainers last time :p

Was awesome when I went during first year at uni because there was a bunch of guys on a company outing, and we ended up playing against each other. There were over 50 of us!

I always seem to have ammo left at the end, which is nice because you get a deathmatch round normally. Except that time I ran out of ammo midway, and had some mad bald guy making his way to me like a terminator. I kept running and hiding behind barriers, I'd peer through the gaps and he would be coming. I did a good job of getting away!

Best moment must have been when I was shooting some guy whom was hidden behind a barrier but he wasn't shielded from me and he didn't notice. As I popped a shot off, the whistle blew and he stood up. Just in time for my pellet to smack him right on the end of his sausage. Satisfaction was mine.

Sorry....I digress...

I thought it would be best to post in this thread rather than make a new one:).

Please could somebody tell me where I can use my own paintballing equipment in west Sussex? As all the places I have googled wont let you use your own paintball gun:(. I want to go once or twice a month so would love my own stuff, but from the looks of it I'm stuffed before its even begun:(.

dont wear any more clothing than you usually would.

i find that if getting shot hurts, it makes you not want to get hit more, and so you try harder and perform better. that is from a competetive point of view:p

if you are infact female and dont want to get hurt, wear a hoody.

Look for the phrase "Walk-on" days.

Will probably already know this but hey :p

Ive been once before...
Ideally wear boots for the ankle support or a pair of football boots for the extra traction the studs will give you. A few light layers of clothing will help too. If you get too hot you can rmove a layer or 2. The place i go has multiple games, my very first game i used up my entire stash of balls that were loaded in my hopper within about 2mins ...it was a 15minute game so pace yourself and try not to get too trigger happy.

Have fun, its ace!

I've found not wearing a hat/hood is better as the mask seems to steam up a lot less. However, I'm paranoid about getting shot in the throat so I always wear a scarf :(

Paintball doesn't hurt. I've been shot from a foot away by someone on my own team and all it felt like was a kick to the leg.

Either he had the power limited or you're telling a porky;), I would post youtube videos but they would get removed and not really family forum material. There skin was removed, they almost looked like burn victims with all the bloody bits of skin peeling off of them needless to say I wont be tight on padding lol:D.

Nope truth, was at delta force or whatever it's called. I really wanted to hit the kid but walked off and calmed down :o

I wore a T-shirt and turned down the optional body armour. With just the Shirt and the overalls the hits weren't bad at all, the guns are pretty weak.

I used about 900 balls over 6 2-part rounds (Delte Force) last time.

hey, im going paintballing for the first time tomorrow, everyone else im going with has been before! Anyadvice? Apparently we get to wear overalls over our clothes, however is it worth putting a jumper or anything on underneath

1) get a larger size overall, like 1 size too big
2) wear only what you need to wear dependent on how cold it is, i wear tracksuit and t-shirt most of the time + overalls
3) dont get the belt, it restricts movement just load 200 in the hopper and work as a team
4) always point the paintball gun level, dont aim it down or up in the air, because otherwise your too slow
5) paintballs dont hurt, ive never gotten brusies from paintballs, even a few have actually cut the skin of my fingers and neck
6) get there early to get good stuff
7) if possible buy your own anti-fog whatever its called because they just have soap or cheaper stuff that doesnt work at all

aim for the throat or just beneath the throat @ the softspot, then aim for the hands, many times people dont play fair in general crappy places, and thus it is good to inflict as much pain as possible and shoot them constantly untill they put their hand up in the air. also aim for the eyes, they wont be able to see and wiping it doesnt work very well so they wont be able to see properly

dont shoot anyone with their hands in the air!

dont buy any paint grenades they suck, and dont buy any smoke either they also suck, but i suppose with the smoke throw 5 at the same time, it will be a novelty rather than something to help win, its pretty cool when theres smoke all over the place
