This was midway through painting our playhouse using Cuprinol garden shades and a Wagner sprayer. Not quite the same as it was properly planed / primed timber but gives an idea.

I'd buy some Cuprinol Garden Shades outdoor paint. Something like the Silver Birch colour. Covers really well and lasts well. We did our shed with it and has lasted much better than the Ronseal fence paint.
Does anyone have pictures of their fence panels with the shades on?
When I first put in some of the fence panels they were obviously light orangey brown, it offset the colour the grass to give a pleasent open space. I feel the black, just has a weird enclosure feel to it...
Would love to see some examples of brighter colours on the panels.
I have always preferred a dark brown as I find it blends well with the grass for a more natural look. I've already posted a pic of my current garden with the ronseal dark oak colour. Here is my old house fence (I put this in shortly after I moved in, and looked the same after 7 years!) with cuprinol's rich oak colour, which I prefer to the ronseals similar colour.
Play House is 2.24m tall and the base is about 150mm above the original ground level so overall height is well within the 2.5m permitted development for outbuildings within 2m of a boundary.
