Sorry, they were $1000 US when new not £1000. Which back in 2002 would have been the equivelant of £625.

One assumes they would have been cheaper than that here since Arcam are a British company.

Either way it was a bargain at what I paid.

Do you think an USB-USB cable will be ok for sending sound from a PC to it?

Not normally no. Normally you need to send an audio signal via analogue or optical/coaxial.

Ok, good to know because was just about to order a cable.
I am trying to connect via Bluetooth, my Acer Nitro 5 but the pairing doesn't happen. Why is so?

Let's try again. The SC-PMX94 supports USB DAC, which is described:

USB DAC is extremely rare in a mini system. Hence me saying "not normally".

I'm not sure why you're expecting us to know the insides out of a mini system only you have and that has only recently be released? You have the manual, read it.
