Pancakes!

I never have to worry about missing pancake day when this forum is literally obsessed with the word.

Might have a go at making some myself.

My gf only has lemon and sugar on her pancakes but I like to try random bits I find in the cupboard that I think might go well together.

how does everyone else make theirs? all I do is put flour with milk and an egg or two.

110g plain flour
2 eggs
200ml of milk mixed into 75ml of water
A chunk of butter, melted and then added to batter
A pinch of salt.

The secret is to keep the sieve high when sifting the flour, to get lots of air into the batter to make a nice light pancake.

Normal english style pancakes with either sugar and lemon, or if I'm feeling like it, a couple of rashers of bacon.

Last year we ended up having pancakes with bacon, southern fried chicken, and burger cheese.

English style with lemon and sugar or American style blueberry pancakes with maple syrup.

Although I now have a craving for pikelets, used to get them from an oatcake shop when I was in the Stoke area.

I make "american" pancakes every sat/sun and we always have golden syrup

Normal/Crepe ones it's either sugar and lemon or nutella+banana.

golden syrup is my fav.

however...try this one...a little bit of cinnamon with sugar, mix the 2 together in a bowl first before putting on pancakes....lush

I had another thought.

How about putting a cream egg or two inside one and then blasting the whole thing in a microwave for a few moments? I guess you could use the mini cream eggs so that they melt more easily too :)

I like a Traditional pancake myself with Lemon juice & untold sugar. I do make quite a thick mix though with a couple of eggs & plenty of flour.
