parasol

Just bought one from Christow, specifically this one:

very good quality for the money, material is nice, constuction is solid, metal pole, the hand crank feels solid. Bit of a bargain for the price.

What weight base did you buy with it?

well its relative, im sure if it was very windy you'd need heavier. I only have it up when its a nice day, if its very windy I dont sit out there.
Yeah that's fine, just heard that even the slightest bit of wind can cause some of these to sway a lot, but yours must be heavy enough to prevent that.

If you are willing to spend the money and want a really good windproof parasol then have a look here - https://belveo.co.uk/

I have had one for a couple of years now (3m square cantilever) and find the quality really good. Having seen other people's parasols being bashed around by gusts of wind, this one works really well due to the way it is designed with the secondary arms allowing the parasol cover to flex up at the sides. They also make them so you can repair/replace parts yourself.

Hi @Richie
Thank you for the recommendation.
Did you go for the acrylic fabric?
Are you using the slabs or a wheeled base?

I went with the standard fabric (whatever that is) as, when I bought it in 2024, it was the outgoing model which didn't have a choice of canopy. They were selling it as part of a deal with the wheeled base.

I have not had a lot of use out of it as Summer 2024 was crap  but it seems well built. Anti-Wind tech is good as well

Still makes you panic a little when you see it happen initially but the anti-wind technology worked really well.
