Parcel Force collection

Thanks for the advice, yea im using a signed for and trackable service. Call me naive but, the money is in my bank account now so i have no worries regaring the payment. Or should there still be cause for concern?

The selling site you used to sell ALWAYS favour the buyer, so if there is a problem with the laptop, they will always rule in favour with the buyer. They can chargeback the sum paid to your account. Many have left said site now.

Would you mind putting up a link to the sale so we can take a look at the buyer?

Surely he would have to return the laptop to me before i would have to refund im though right?

Yes, but it will be a shedload of hassle. You might be worrying about nothing.

I can't see his full feedback etc as it is hidden from us (not you) but can see he's been very active in the old computers!

This is my first auction site sale, however i have since transferred the funds from paypal into my bank account successfully. Therefore i think he is verified.

i did the same once and the goy cried to his credit card company who issued a charge back saying it was stolen.

paypal put my account in minus £*** and threatened me with debt collectors.

i ignored it and nothing ever came of it thankfully, now i always try to sell on forums and only accept bank transfers or cash on collection

You really undersold that laptop, hence the quick buy. I sold a 1545 for 180.00 last month, thats with Vista, 2gb and 160gb + a T3400 cpu (awful).

The guy probably buys up laptops and resells them, probably nothing to worry about. Theres one there thats not even working going so far for 50.00 with 21hrs to go.

Yeah i guess i did, its been sittring in my room collecting dust for months though, so at least im getting something for it. Will go nicely towards the funds for the transformer prime tablet. :D

I like my 1545 though :D , got a free T9800 cpu few months back and thought, why not? Bought it for about 150.00 from a mate, stuck a 120gb Vertex 2E and 4gb ram in it + 8800mah battery, performance is out of this world :D

not always, there are lots of scams

what if he says he never received it, or that there was brick in the box instead of a laptop

then paypal would take back the money, and he would have a refund and your laptop

be careful

Collection in person with a written and signed receipt is by far the best way.

I agree, I'd far rather someone made me aware of the potential pitfalls with selling stuff like this, esp when bought on xmas day within 2mins of listing.......the alarm bells are ringing.

PARCELFORCE! ''we will send the package to you!'' :D

On topic, Pictures of boxing and packaging before shipping helps a lot aswell as the tracking service should be fully covered doing that :)

Rang ParcelForce who asked me to arrange a re-delivery. Asked for a refund instead , will take it to my local post office and get special delivery. Thought it would be easier getting a courier to come and collect.
