Parent and Child spaces

Also can people stop referring to them as 'disabled badges'.
I have one and the official term is 'blue badge of invincibility".

As a parent of 2 kids under the age of four i feel that the child spaces are a great thing.

Are they in push chairs?

Sometimes it can be a little bit tight in the normal bays to get the kids out, especially as some people arent capable of parking straight and i would hate to think that i damaged someone elses vehicle because of a narrow gap.

It's always tight to get out of the car when you've got two people either side of you.

Oh goody, an argument about delivery vs. going to the store!!
I also have a can of petrol and some matches, just in case there isn't enough inflammatory material in this thread already :p

I wonder what the odds are on Fox having a revelation (much like his new-found love of travelling over luxury vehicles) when he does have kids, realising that actually, parent and child spaces are an absolute godsend rather than a useful place for annoying single blokes with expensive cars to park and avoid dints :p

All I've said is that I think a disabled person is at least as worthy of one of the spaces.

Unfortunately some of you who think we should leave kids at home while shopping etc will be parents one day, and the shoe will well and truely be on the other foot.

I am a Grandad & I was joking & I work in a supermarket.

When it comes to parking I do want I want when I want & if anybody says owt then I just point to my tax disc & tell them to **** off.

So why do you care when a disabled person has occupied a P&C space? Just park further away, away from everyone else.

Because I have found that no matter how far you park away from the store that someone will always park right next to you when you get back. It seems like an unwritten law that you see a car parked miles away on it's own, you must park next to it (and park badly at that).

I've also said that my comment about blue badge holders was OTT.

The youngest is one year old so yes usually in a push chair, the edest is 3 nearly 4 and walks or goes in the trolly seat.

Im sorry i dont understand the second part of your comment:confused:

Actually their purpose is to avoid cars getting dints, but it's the others, not the parents..

:D

Top quote malc, and i honestly wasnt commenting on you, rather just the general feeling in the thread.

Parent and Child spaces are excellent, I use them pretty much exclusively. At my local supermarket it seems that 90% of the other people using them don't have kids either, it's just first-come-first-served for a larger than average parking space.

LOLz...

I love the people justifying why these spaces are evil, and abusing them is the correct thing to do..

If you really can't be bothered to respect the spaces and just be courteous about it, then stop moaning about other people's behaviour in other threads, clearly you've set the bar so low with your own selfishness / naivety and lack of tolerance that you have to expect everyone else not to give two hoots either.

Simples really..

People with kids should be made to park at the back of the car park so there is more chance of hitting them before they get into the shop, Really boils my **** when they get in the shop quickly & you don't even get a chance for a side swipe. :(

Oh and in answer to Fox who thinks I am lazy, when I go Morrisons on my own, I park well away from the store as I don't mind walking.
