Oh and in answer to Fox who thinks I am lazy, when I go Morrisons on my own, I park well away from the store as I don't mind walking.
Nobody cares what Fox thinks as he only has a small knob.

Has anyone here ever received a comment, or had an altercation with someone, for parking in a parent child space with no child in tow?

I've given 3 out.. if that helps, and funnily they've all moved, for me to park my Sprog Wagon and get preferential access to the store..
I was lucky none where carrying their keyboards with them, no doubt I might have got a serious injury..

Highly amusing that extra foot or so becomes such a prized possesion.
I will favour a child space with my daughter because its easier for her to get out the car as the doors are quite heavy and theres less risk of her hitting the car next to us.
If someone chooses to park in these spaces without children then feel free. Next time I see their car I'll park next to it and leave physics to decide if their car takes a crack.

As soon as they go to Group 2+ seats that use normal seat belts, they should be reasonably expected to be able to operate them, and it's up to you to educate them on how to get in/out responsibly..
We stopped using the spaces when our youngest went into a Group 2 Seat, I do tend to park in a space that access is a little better then normal, but I don't clog up the P&C space because I feel it's courteous to leave them for people that really do need them..
I had a ***** like you shout at me once for parking in a P&C bay.
Do you know why i moved? Because i was worried that my car would not be in the same shape when i got back if i didnt, as anybody who confronts someone in that way is quite clearly an overgrown yob.
Following on from Booner's thread about parking I thought I'd put this out there to the OCUK massive...are there technicalities which state that you have to be under a specific age to qualify as a child to let your parent park in the bay?
Similarly to Booner, my mother and I were out shopping a few weeks ago and it was widdling down with rain - We were only popping in to Saino's for a few minutes so I forced her to park in the parent and child space as technically she's my parent and I'm her child...
Are we illegalz?

This is the Problem..
I'd like to see some 'ruling' made about P&C usage..
Clearly IMO, I'd say these should be for Parent and babies, more specifically for children in Group 0/1 child seats.. these require parent intervention to get the child in/out the car and improved access is required. As soon as they go to Group 2+ seats that use normal seat belts, they should be reasonably expected to be able to operate them, and it's up to you to educate them on how to get in/out responsibly..

I like the assumption and generalisation..
For your information, I went up to them politely, and explained calmly that they where clearly parking in a space not designated for them.. Polite but firm.. surprising how reasonable some people are when they've left their keyboards at home..
Odd you should speak of ******, as if they don't care about you or your property and would abuse it at the drop of a hat, yet you seem happy to not care about P&C spaces and would abuse them at the drop of a hat.. Very telling indeed..
