parental Control Advice?

If it;s just that she's using it late then that's a bit harsh, but just make her turn the pc off.

Exactly. Instead of getting involved in Parental Controls, QoS or other technical wizardry, how about just acting like a parent? You're in control, not your child.

I always thought that parental controls was a setting to keep mother and father from their destructive, malware collecting, surfing habits.

Also, I doubt anyone in my family would have known how to disconnect the cable without pulling out the phone

Good idea, parental control will not solve the underlying problem.

speaking from the other side a few years ago nothing my parents could ever do stopped me playing games until whenever i wanted lol. Without knowing what your daughter is like back of hand is prob the best option.

Take the wireless card out of the laptop.. then never get around to "fixing it" when she moans
