Oh man, this is a great series. First season was a bit meh, but the second (which I've just finished watching) is truly fantastic. So good.

Brilliant characters in it. Can't wait to see more.

Anyone else watch this?

Ron Swanson is hilarious! April....mmm, something about her and her seriousness mixed with the cheekiness!

Series 1 starts off weak but gets much better, its more, up and down in quality, some parts of eps are rubbish some are epic. Season 2 almost every episode is brilliant start to finish, very very very good season of tv. Season 3 has some great and some terrible episodes, IIRC it got pretty "meh" for the middle of the season, finished off decent but wasn't a patch on season 2. Season 4.... so far, not the best, but not bad either.

Season 4 was losing me with all the election stuff but season 5 seems back on track with the funnies.

We used to really enjoy this, but it started going downhill when it got on to the election stuff, so we gave up. The only really funny character was Ron Swanson, he is a legend!

Just noticed season one starts on BBC Four tonight at 10pm, well worth a watch if you haven't seen it already.

Yeh, the election but was a bit naff, there are some good episodes in teh season after though.

Swanson character really did save the 1st series and the show.

Thankfully it really picks up in the 2nd season, I even remember the point, it was the eps they all went hunting

I love Parks & Rec, though it doesn't get much recognition over here unfortunately.

I agree that the very start was a little weak. I think more than anything it was because it was such a complete copy of the US Office, which itself was a copy and by the same creators.

But it quickly got much better because Amy Poheler is really funny, Ron Swanson became more established who is just amazing and Aziz Ansari usually only has to show his face with some hairbrained scheme.
