Hmm. A 4ghz i7 + gimped 8800gt vs a 4ghz i7 with two gtx260s isn't going to go my way. I shall have to take it over 4ghz, at which point your prayers will probably be answered.

How much ram are you moving to? If it involves six sticks you're going to have just as much fun with stability as me :)

edit: just read your build log, it makes my machine look very ugly indeed. Think mine needs some tlc in the near future. Good effort on water cooled matx, it's what I'll be doing for my next rebuild (possibly after taking a second job though)

Make that 3.9Ghz as i have had a BSOD so i need to work on getting it stable.

Yeah it will be all six slots cant afford the Kingston X series 3 x 4GB sticks @ over a £1000 for a set :(

Thanks, the water cooling is on hold for now as Ocuk needs to get three more barbs in they are not even listed on the shop now :(, plus my car took a fair wack out of any money for PC parts in the next two months so i'll will just wait it out.
 
I have been stomped. :(
I expect to swap places a few more times until it's set in stone but a least i now have a 4Ghz stable system using the 21 multi made my life easier.
 
And I will be stomped shortly, got home and immediately broke my computer. 94% through a big work unit and I managed to crash the damned thing, apparently it's still not stable. The scrap continues...

Overclocking on 6 slots is a whole world of fun. Hope you're excited. Sorry to hear about your car, it's starting to look like my free money will be sinking into my bicycle for the near future. Such is life.
 
:( Damm i was hoping that you would not say that hope you get sorted soon.

My car is not broke just cost me a few bob to buy so need to hold back on buying things as christmas plus buying that beast has left little to spend.

But i have a massive smile because i am now currently 4.1Ghz stable :) and i am looking forward to scrimping and scraping some money together for some ram and seeing how my board will cope with all slots filled thinking about getting this set HERE nice timings and is from my favorite memory company.
 
^^ That's obscene :eek: I just spent £238 on my 12GB kit - 2x Patriot Viper 3x2GB 1600MHz @ 8-8-8-24.

Yeah but the vipers are to blue for my system lol, think of the colour scheme :D

Plus i really do like these expensive but will no doubt last.

I'm fully aware of that :( Luckily dekez seems to have slowed a lot over the Christmas period so I have had some breathing space. Just awaiting my Heatkiller block, tubing and barbs from OCUK and then playing silly buggers with Citylink to try and pickup or get them to deliver my UD5.
 
Ah the lovely heatkiller block dunno when i will finish my build now the barbs i ordered are gone from OcUK's site hope they are on back order :( i only have 3 need the other 3 and the same block as you.
