Hi all,

I'm really excited I passed my driving test with 5 minors. Thought I had failed because of silly errors but apparently not! Even went the wrong route when examiner told me to turn right, but I carried on and did what I thought was best. Only had 27 lessons in a manual car, but had been driving my dads automatic for some time. Can't believe I passed.

I did have trouble with gears/clutch when I started to learn but I did my best body was full of adrenaline and I just calmed down as I drove.

All I can say is WAHOOOOOOOOOOO.

Congrats. Now the real learning begins :D

Oh, and you can't fail for not following the examiner's direction instructions as long as you take the wrong turning (or whatever) properly.

Well go you!

I failed twice. First one for speeding 50 in a 30 ( @ self) and the second for "jumping a red light".

By the third test I'd calmed down and was nice and placid...... but then I bought a Saxo VTR ;)

Congratulations, good feeling is it?

Do find it quite hilarious you say 'only' 27 lessons though as if its not a lot, 27 lessons is loads

congratulations on passing, but how can you say only and 27 lessons in the same sentence?

Yeah I'd been driving bits and bats around with my dad in the auto. Driving a manual is so much different lol. But I did try my best and I'm lucky as my theory was going to run out in August. So yeah I'm happy.

27 is a lot I do agree. I'm not saying it in a boasting way. Like I said I'd been driving around with my dad in the automatic so I got the feel for steering and driving roads/conditions.

Depends how much other practice you get and how long the lessons are :p Took me longer than that. Nice one btw.

Well done!

You'll probably do many hundreds of aimless miles of driving in your first couple of weeks... Actually, I've been driving for nearly a year and still do that!

Yep, 27 lessons quite a lot.

I know one person my age who had less than about 40 lessons and passed... and he had hours and hours of tuition from his parents. 27 is not "a lot" these days, it seems, at least here.

1 Hour lessons, I didn't have them every week though. Last lesson I had was like 8 weeks a go. Had my 1 hour lesson before my test and then did the test. I'm amazed I passed actually. Still can't believe it.

Congrats. I got crashed into on my first test by some immigrant who conveniently didn't speak english (or he did but decided to 'forget' it).

Test got canceled, examiner moaned about neck (the taxi only hit me at 5-10mph I was at a red light).

Passed on my second first time though! I have never failed a test:p

Just take it easy on the roads and remember that you learn to drive after passing, not before!

I also passed first time, after a similar number of lessons. It's a great feeling isn't it? :D

I'm a terrible driver though, and as you're starting out, you will be too. So don't get cocky. :p

I just passed my test first time last week, got 4 minors and had 17 lessons over ~2 months with no driving between lessons at all.

Awesome feeling, just need a car now :p
