yes, but I do really fancy putting a MIVEC engine in the colt, it would be such fun and I could mix it with my 2 friends who drive EK Civics. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, MIVEC power :drool:
 
Well done btw. I have always thought that the driving test really was not that hard. The hardest parts was having the bottle not to get nervous really.

Never had any need for a car when living in manchester at uni, handy now i'm back at home though.

Stopped me owning a car still I left Uni tho. I just could not possibly afford to run a car when I was living away from home at uni. You on the otherhand lived at home from uni, had part time work and home was out in the sticks? Not having a go at all because had I lived at home I would have done exactly the same thing but If you live in a big city as a student then public transport is really the only sensible option and most of your money is swallowed up living in overpriced rented accomodation.
 
Whats Uni got to do with your 17th Birthday? I thought most people were itching to drive when they passed 17, and at 17, Uni is well over a year away and most are... living at home going to college.
 
I didn't start driving lessons until after my 18th birthday, passed 2 months before my 19th birthday and didn't actually get a car for another 4 months.

Big deal.
 
My sister has had 3 tests, 0 minors on two and 1 minor on one and she failed each time? What's going on there? :p

i didn't have my first lesson til i was 21, big deal. Always lived close to town, walked to lectures, friends live close by at home and uni.

The difference is that Clarkey is a huge car enthusiast and has posted here for years on a range of motoring issues. Whilst its common for many people not to bother, generally if cars are your thing, you do it asap. Was just wondering why, thats all.

If a car is simply transport to you, then fair enough. Why learn when you dont need a car.

I would have loved to get a car at 17. Driving/owning a car is a big part of my life and something I thoroughly enjoy but I just didn't have the money to splash out on driving lessons, no matter how much I wanted to.
