Passport Interview

that seemed abit harsh. in the whole thread your the only one who has actually been sarcastic and rude.

ive never been good with date of births, never will be, i know a lot of people on here wont be good. pointing it out, being sarcastic and then calling it pathetic is just abit too rude if you ask me.

I'm sorry but no, standards are just slipping. You wrote this information on a form, knew you would be having an interview, they didn't spring it on you, and despite wanting/needing a passport, you couldn't spend 3 minutes double checking the dates you needed to know.

But not only that, anyone can be particularly bad with dates, theres something all of us are forgetful about, that I couldn't give a monkeys about, you could have said that in your first post but you didn't. You claimed that a normal 16 year old shouldn't normally know incredibly basic details of his families life, and I still think that is pathetic. Its sad to me that you think so little of everyone that this is somehow hard information to know, talk to your parents and you have it in 10 seconds. Personally i think 16 year olds should probably not know to much about quantum physics, though some will, I think most won't be fluent in another language, again fine, but its fine to you to think most 16 year olds don't know basic backgrounds of their family. That to me really is ridiculous. I'm not 100% great with remembering dates in history like who died when, who ruled in what century and so forth. But a birthday you experience yearly, and knowing where family members work, come on.

A lot of people (men in particular) forget important dates, such as wives' birthday and anniversary. Dont forget that most of us may know the date and month, but not the year of birth of our parents/siblings.

things i dont know,
my parents date of birth.
where they work.
my secondary schools address.
the hospital i was born in (it got demolished not long after i was born afaik)
my brother and sisters ages
what car my dad drives.
and probably half of the questions they ask lol

i havent seen my brother or sister in about 7 years and i never speak to them, i only see my parents 2-3 times when they visit me i live in newcastle they live in nottingham and i dont have a car so its to much hasssle to visit them.

atleast if i was trying to fake the interview i would know all the answers the test is stupid imo. i have been arrested a few times when i was around 15-16 the quickest way for them to gather who i am would be to take my fingerprints and not do a stupid interview wasting everyones time

Update!

My passport arrived today, via signed mail. therefore even with the slip-up's in the interview i still managed to pass it and im therefore allowed a passport.

Is it me, or does everyone seem to look realy bad on their passport photos? :D

Also to check that i got through the interview i phoned up the advice line on Friday to see if it had been dispatched, they said it was waiting for the Courier to pick it up. So basically i knew on Friday that i'd passed the interview and that i could have a passport, which is handy :)

tbh i would find it more suspicious if someone knew the answers to everything 100% perfectly

Yeah, and you still need a hefty amount of paperwork to prove you're a citizen, if you were born after 1983.

will this apply to me? I sent off my application form via the check&send service the other day for my first passport, and I was born in March '83..

My papertrail is rather convoluted, and/or missing :/
