They don't send passports by post I don't think.
Last time I had some old guy in a 10 year old vauxhall deliver them, must have been some retired guy who was in a responsible position.
Just an ordinary envelope, I think it had a return address somewhere in Wales and seperately my old passport with the corners cut off was returned, the return address for that was in Liverpool. Neither needed to be signed for.
thaught it was just £50 for a replacement due to it being lost
£77.50 as highlighted in the link above, it might have been £50 a while ago but we'd be talking a number of years.
