Pat Condell on Fitna

He chats absolute rubbish, but then again muslim bashing has become the norm nowadays.

Instead of just saying that, why dont say why he is chatting rubbish.

Tbh id agree with this comment from Wiki

"If the televangelists are guilty of producing some simple-minded, self-righteous Christians, then the atheist authors are guilty of producing self-congratulatory buffoons like Condell."[

That's reactionary - calling his comments 'rubbish' means that I am unable to discuss your opinion because you haven't specified WHY you consider his comments rubbish. One thing that I do agree with that comes from this particular video is the idea that Islam and many Muslims seem to have no empathy for women, homosexuals and perhaps jews.

I'd change the link if I were you. I've had quite a few ******** links deleted by the unseen hands of moderation.

I've seen some of this guys stuff before and he usually sounds quite convincing because he paints quite a black and white view of the world.

Unfortunatly it is not the world we are living in.

i hope this convo doesn't spiral totolly out of control before i have a chance to see what your all going on about.

god damn work always stopping a guy watching rant worthy stuff on youtube

To be fair, he hates Christianity about as much as he hates Islam. It'd be fairer to say he hates religion :)

He is a bit extreme and makes some good points but I wouldn't go as far as saying I hate religion like him though.

I'm currently in a country where the vast majority of people are either athiest, agnostic or have no religious belief at all, there's a lot less idiotic public correctness and bickering which is quite refreshing really. People just get on with life :)

Thats according to condell? The media loves stories about muslims, so most of the time if a person has commited a crime (and he's supposedly muslim) it gets mentioned in the article that he's a muslim - when that has nothing to do with the crime. You dont hear many stories mentioning the word christian when it comes to most people do you?

A lot of the time people havent studied islam and take the word of the media and what others say to be the truth. A lot of people quote the laws of saudi arabia and use them as an argument against islam. HOW THE HECK CAN YOU TAKE A COUNTRY'S LAWS AND SAY THAT THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT ISLAM TEACHES? You wouldnt say that all of america's laws are based on the bible, but this is exactly what people say when talking about Iran or saudi etc.

Have you ever thought to yourself 'why is islam the fastest growing religion in the world?' You must believe that people are stupid, why would over a billion people choose to live with such a harsh and violent religion? (according to the media)

If islam preached hate then wouldnt there be a war all over the world right now? Think about it.

I'll finish by giving you an Qu'ranic teaching "if you kill one innocent human, it is as if you have killed the whole of humanity"

(off the top of my head)

He makes his points quite clearly and is a reasonably compelling speaker but I instinctively distrust anyone who is quite so focused on one area and I fear that rather negates some of the value of his points.

the laws in these places are strongly influenced by sharia law where laws in places like the USA and Britain have moved further away from there Christian roots. so the idea is sorta in a way based in fact

im not talking the side of those who are ignorant and the belief that all muslins are mad extremists. Islam is does have stricter laws and people tend to be more devout but I am aware that as a whole it does promote peace, its just the media only show those who use there faith as a reason for violence and say this is the laws that they follow they are savages
