Path of Exile 2

Hopefully at full release the campaign can be skipped and just go straight to end game
Nope, GGG's plan is that you'll have to replay the campaign ( Acts 1-6 ) each season. Lots of players not happy with this decision ; campaign is decent for one playthrough ... but doing it every season for every character ?

About the campaign playthrough every season, it's fine. After playing POE2 for 120 hours, I returned to POE and leveled 2 characters to 95 in League. The 2nd one took some 8 hours to do and I'm sloooow, doing every side quest too.

By the time we're a couple of Leagues in in POE2, people will be flying through the campaign. Oh, btw, major patch coming out tomorrow https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3687933

stream discussing the changes starting soon
Sure, players will become more efficient at clearing the campaign with each passing season, but the campaign in PoE2 is lengthier than the one in PoE1. And many players to this day still complain about having to do that in PoE1.

I don't know if it's lengthier. It has 4 less acts to start with. Players are just not efficient at running through it yet, compared to POE.

It is ... GGG have stated the campaign, when finished, will be longer than the one in PoE1.

The new patch that GGG outlined looks interesting, rather than a potential nerf-load that many were expecting. Plus, the next update after that looks like it could be a lot of different things too.

I think it's the smarter move, fix the main issues where they can asap and leave the big sweeping balance patches for when more substantial content drops that would warrant an economy/league style reset and people have more of a head up that any popular broken/overperforming builds will be gone soon.

In terms of skipping the main quest, I don't think the game was really set up in that kind of way, there's probably a lot more things under the surface that you'd have to consider compared to other games which would turn into a bit of a minefield. Plus is it really that much fun to actually do? I went back to D4 & D3 a little while back and the campaign skipped season journey is just start at level one and rinse the same content over and over to get to max level as quickly as possible, for the most part ignoring gear and build options/upgrades as they are pointless to invest in and become obsolete a short amount of time later as you move through the difficulty tiers. All to arrive at a point where you can finally start gearing up seriously just to do the same content again anyway.

The full 1-6 campaign should take the around the same amount of time as the 1-3 repeated that we have now, and honestly after running it a couple of times it really isn't that bad to get through, especially considering we don't even have all the tools available to us yet.

Cant believe GGG have not fixed the crash totally freezing PC yet.
393 pages of complaints on official forums many more on reddit etc and reports of bricking hardware.
Yes there are workarounds but its ridiculous that its not a priority.

I'm struggling in ACT 3 cruel. On the verge of giving up unless the patch brings big nerfs
No nerfs incoming.
If you need help with boss kill or anything i can help, i have a few classes at endgame maps.
Best advice is go all in with damage in campaign, resistance capping is not important in campaign.

Are you on nvidia? apparently they have released a fix for this, GGG mentioned it in the patch video

This issue has nothing to do with nivdia and no they didnt mention it on video.
After the uproar of no mention in video someone did reply to the thread on forums so atleast now they know about it.

Ah I see, they definitely mentioned a nvidia crashing issue in the podcast interview they did. I assumed it was the hard freezing one, as I have had it happen to me quite a lot too.

What are the workarounds?

Yeah doesnt seem to be an nvidia issue, both my other half and I have nvidia cards, yet they have never had a lockup where they've had to reset the PC, whereas I get 1 freeze like that every session of play. We have identical specced PCs, only difference is that mine is windows 11 (my other half has win10 still)

There are a few small programs on github made by the community, poeuncrasher is one.
Some use process lasso and there are more but i just go into task manager-details-right click poe steam.exe-set affinity and untick CPU0 and CPU1 and this works 99% of the time for me.
Initially people thought it was win 11 24H2 but im on 23H2 on both machines and have the issue on both.
For sure my 7800X3D rig is more prone compared to my old 8600K rig but again it doesnt seem to be a specific CPU issue.

Nothing to do with x3d as mine crashes with and without x3d chips. Also Process lasoo doesn't make much difference. POE uncrasher doesn't stop it crashing either, although crashes are much less frequent with it on. Nothing to do with 24h2 either because apparently Linux crashes too. The game is simply broken
