Pathfinder is pretty smooth going at the moment as well, it makes a lot of the endgame mechanics a joke.

you only see other people in towns and if you party up.Something I don't get, I've finished chapter 1 and never once come across other players in the world
Since this is basically a single player game, why does it even have micro transactions lol, it's stupid to put dlc into an sp game
I'm already missing Diablo's multiplayer features
Apparently Poe game do seasons as well lol? Again what's the point for a SP game

You start afresh in a new season. Will seasons work the same in this as they do in D4 where you have to start a new character each time? or can you take existing characters into the seasonal stuff?
I've got a warrior currently in act 3 and sunder is ridiculous at clearing the waves, also got a merc around the same level and currently feels much easier playing solo with the warrior. Even bosses feel the same I've needed help with the mercenary where as managed to do them all solo & quite easily with warrior. Could change once I get to cruel/endgame though, but will see.
Nice, I already have the passive for the dual wielding, but currently have a greathammer in 1 hand & a mace in the other (not enough strength currently to dual wield the 2nd greathammer i want to ).I have a warrior and am playing it as a 2H build (will soon be dual wielding them in the next few levels). For me I find the default Mace Strike with Armour Explosion, Devestate and Impactful Strike to be a great combination. It pretty much heavy stuns in 1 shot which triggers an explosion, The heavy stun also causes an armour break which triggers another explosion and for a lot of stuff that will take out pretty much the whole pack.
For bosses I use armour break then when fully broken I sunder because it will consume the armour break and crit and I have + damage vs broken armour nodes in the tree. Doing that twice usually heavy stuns a boss and then I can use Hammer of the gods which does a pretty big hit, if the heavy stun window is smaller then Perfect strike is the other alternative.
Seems to work pretty well so far and I feel fairly tanky but will see how it progresses through the rest of Act 2 Cruel into Act 3 and endgame.
Being online is their way of ensuring they can prevent item dupes that break trade and the economy. Online also allows for trade between players and for guilds to exist. The people here could create an OCUK guild and then some good gear can go into the guild stash so you can all use it and it can be shared. Can't do that with an SP game.
Doing seasons is their way of adding new content and re balancing the meta if needed. It also allows them to experiment more as if they do brick the economy in one league no big deal in the long run as it gets reset at the start of a new season.
At the end of the season your character and items get moved to the standard league but that economy is totally broken with lots of legacy items with broken effects from years of tuning. Not all mechanics make it to standard either as if they were game breaking then the devs like to work on them and tune them better before bringing it into the standard league.
MTX is there so players can support the ongoing development of the title.
PoE2 will do seasons on full release but I doubt there will be any during early access but there will be new content drops in the form of new classes, weapons and potentially the remaining 3 acts as well as additions to end game (more progression systems a well as balancing and tuning). It is possible that if the devs feel the economy in EA is utterly broken they will create what amounts to a new league so players can start fresh but they may just leave it to see how things shake out.
I've really enjoyed the game but as others have said above, it's a single player game (linear at that) and I don't think I will be motivated to play through the campaign again every 3 months from scratch. This is a major reason why Last Epoch has failed.
At least with Diablo you can choose whether you do the campaign or not and can choose to level using whatever content you want.
As for MTX, you're just paying for a load screen.
I don't even see the point of of a guild or trading, it feels like a SP game
D3 made me just ship elsewhere. I started playing POE in beta and been playing ever since. Not every league, but most of them .I've thrown a lot at PoE in support of the devs. Despite D3 getting me into the genre, I would no longer **** on D4 if it was on fire.
