Path of Exile(diablo clone)

I'll have to check out the new league content later but as it stands I still feel like I might avoid playing any more PoE until 2 releases
I didn't even finish Act 3 in Heist I was that bored

Agreed - just cant face playing through the story again just so I can see a few bits of new content/mechanics.

I remember spawning onto that beach in alpha for the first time when the game seemed like it was something very special - thing shave gone a long way from that since then.

Prefer the Grim Dawn approach adding paid expansions of new content/areas rather than neverending rinse/repeat of the same story.

The issue will always be how fast new (good) content can be added.

I kinda agree about the campaign, but now I just use it as a challenge to see how fast I can do it. Got it down to just under 6 hrs to maps from lvl 1. Have probably done it 100s of times since acts 5-10 came out and probably 1-4 silly amounts so really should be faster. But I get distracted hehe :)

How long does the Act 4-10 take for a first run at them (and listening to lore etc). I've only really played years ago when it was just 3 acts I think.

It's difficult to give an exact time as it's obviously going to be very dependent on the quality of your build, knowledge of the game and just having a general idea on the layout of the areas. If you're going in pretty blind with limited knowledge of the game mechanics then I would probably expect upwards of 2 hours per act (some feel much quicker to clear than others though). The main stumbling blocks for some players seem to be the difficulty jumps going from the act 5 boss onwards, they can feel pretty sharp your first time around, but aren't really noticeable once you have the experience on how the game works.

As dirtybeatfreak mentions above, once you know what you're doing you can have the whole thing boxed off in 6-10 hours on future runs, even quicker if you are making a second toon and have some good levelling gear in your stash. I remember the first time playing it took me quite a while, with numerous deaths, particularly on the bosses. These days I can do it in 2-3 sittings and usually end up pretty shocked if I die before hitting maps.

Thinking of going for an Ice Crash build to start the league. I don't think it's been hit with any major nerfs from the notes so far.

I took a similar char up to act 4 yesterday and was pretty fun. It was meant to be a balista build but that was just rough at lower levels with the gear I had so ended up using ice crash anyway and flame totems.

Well set to have a start maybe as a elemancer with golem buffs, immunity to ailments and shock with storm call.
Not going to be good level with it but arc is there for that and the new buffed frost bomb.
or I go raider cold cyclone.
or maybe minions anyhow.

ah well 2 days to go

Okay having seen the expansion and new league content I'm definitely playing this one
Was getting sick of stuff like Heist and Harvest where you had to micromanage boring junk instead of actually playing the game

Same for me, didn't both sticking with either Harvest or Heist after the initial run through of the acts - Delirium I really enjoyed though and was the first time I've made any serious currency and motivated me to take multiple characters into the 90s.

Rituals looks good to me, nice simple mechanics which I like. Thinking about cremation as my starter for rituals and bossing and also a flickerstrike build for maps, tested the playstyle in mayhem and really enjoyed it.

I am with you lot I also avoided the Heist mechanic was so boring. Like the new Ritual league.

Now just to pick between Arc or Toxic rain as starting build!

Delirium has been one of my favourite leagues so far. Up there with Legion.
Exactly how league mechanics should be. Doesn't actually stop you playing the game

Bladefall/Bladeflast Chieftain for me this league

I understand why they make some leagues more complex now and then, trying things out.
but waiting to open doors get old fast.
Ritual seems to be action with added difficulty.

im in two minds on whether to bother starting this again or not.. i always get bored around map tier 10 and struggle to find any reason to keep playing
do people generally just defeat the map bosses then move on to a different character? whats the motivation to keep going beyond that?

Really enjoying playing so far, just up to act 9 atm using Zizaran's arc inquisitor. Think my progress will slow down fairly soon though as need to learn about all the end game mechanics.

Yeah basically, in theses games you set your own goals. Just finish campaign, do maps, do the end 10 boss Maven fight etc. Then up to you if you play different characters.
I'm the same, tend to get bored after a while, but that's like any game really.

Making some gentle map progression today. Not really desperately rushing the end, just picking up atlas passives as I go.
Made maybe 6 or 7 ex already which is nice, got a sweet life on block shield as well

decided to download it again, gives me something to do for the next week or so atleast

just need to find an easy to play build that isnt a minion one
