I've not played PoE at all. But this year seems to have been the year of the ARPG for me as I ended up sinking a very enjoyable 80 hours into Last Epoch and another 200 hours in Diablo IV.
Last Epoch was great and I'm sure I'll go back at some point. I really enjoyed Diablo IV, but it's so one-dimensional that after 2 full seasons I can't see myself playing it much more unless it completely changes. That's where PoE2 comes in... I'm hoping it will scratch that itch that Diablo IV left unscratched. The lower barrier to entry for PoE2 make it more appealing to me and I'm hoping the depth and variety will keep me entertained long term where D4 failed.
My annual leave year ends at the end of December and I still have a lot of time to take, so I've booked a couple of days off and put a 4 day weekend aside to really get my teeth into this in 10 days time.

In a weird way I'm thankful I'm busy Friday despite me being ridiculously excited to play.

I am at lev 30 and have zero resists.
No idea how GGG though this game was good.
Cant progress and farming is so slow it makes my head hurt.
Feels pretty much like a job instead of a game with some punishment sprinkled over.

I'm 99% certain you're aware of this but you are talking about the sequel in the original game's thread, when there's a new thread, specifically aimed at PoE2 already?
