Path of Exile(diablo clone)

I tried this out a few days ago. Thought it was alright. I would consider a purchase, though I do have a pretty low tolerance for these kinds of games(I mean I drift in and out of them, getting bored quite quickly).

PS. Pighardia was taken, so not happy!

I like this game but it can be hard to enjoy at times now im used to some of the 'comforts' in D3 like flagging to party members, checkpoints to respawn at, no need to find ID and TP scrolls, more inventory space :(

...and GOLD :D never sure if its really worth going back to town to 'sell' blue loot I found as I only get stuff that collects up in stash, its nice being able to re-randomize item stats but I don't need to do this a billion times!
 
If you sign up on their site they have a random giveaway generator going on every 5mins, you'd have to be pretty damn lucky to win that though! The amount of hours I've put into this is crazy for the 10$ (whats that, £6-7?!) it cost, I'd highly recommend it. Even though there are only 2 acts at the moment, the map generation is very good for keeping it a little different each time. No brainer IMO, but the open beta is 23rd January if you wanna wait.

Thanks - so the $10 only allows beta, doesnt allow advance any pre order the game?
 
It's free to play when released! The 10$ gets you a beta key and 100 marketplace points which are for extra stash slots (I've only ever needed the default amount) and extra character slots. They have always stressed that there will never be any kind of 'pay-to-win' and I believe them as they seem great devs. Maybe check out this guys stream stream to get an idea of what it's like first, hes an awesome streamer happy to answer questions etc and he does random beta key giveaways everyday
 
I do enjoy this game, but the passive tree resets are getting a bit annoying. I don't get much chance to game these days, I really want to try out the random map feature when you reach end game, but they always reset my characters before I reach top level.

I think I'll wait for open beta, and Act 3's release before I start up again. They might not reset so frequently in open beta, but for diablo/dungeon crawler fans, I would recommend this.

The random map feature does sound fantastic but I feel the same as you the resets get annoying after a while, that and I've played through act 1 and 2 so many times now that i know it far to well, I hope act 3 is longer than the previous ones as I think currently the game is currently way to short for release.

For a f2p ARPG it is fantastic I especially love the currency system its just so different compared to the usual buy everything with gold approach. I do struggle to see how they will make their money though since it seems to rely on cosmetic items yet you don't really see many other people around apart from a couple in towns.

Either way when act 3 is out I will be playing a lot of PoE :D
 
Anyone playing this game much? Pretty much this and LoL only games I play. Can't wait until open beta so my characters don't get deleted :p

I go through spells where I play this a lot, usually when they release new content. However, I'm currently waiting for open beta, as the league resets are getting abit annoying.
 
Yeah same, just figuring out builds and playing the events atm, waiting for open beta then going to play it loads. What you planning on playing in open beta?
 
why isn't this game more popular here ? it's amazing and x100 times better than diablo3 with actual depth to the game
