The passive tree for the Atlas is released

https://www.pathofexile.com/fullscreen-atlas-skill-tree/

Now to spend the few days deliberating :p There's some really awesome nodes on it

Spent a good three hours last night planning my routing out and then rerouting it when I saw something else I wanted. Think I have a settled early game tree now and then once we have an idea of how good the Exarch/Eater are and what kind of stuff you can do with the new currency I will respec it to my endgame Legion/Harby/Expedition money printing machine.

The trick is with respec orbs being readily available (2 regret orbs from Kirac) you should concentrate on maximum profit early on so specialise in certain things that will be in demand.

Many people are going for Essences first, I'm gonna go for blight (so many people hate it) and sell the oils I get for big bucks.

I'm probably going to invest into Breach and Blight as they'll be good for levelling early and could yield some decent rewards on the side. I'm also very tempted to invest into the Harbinger nodes, having one in every single map will start to add up for ancient shards and potentially exalted shards. It looks like you can get 100% increased chance to drop an additional shard, 30% chance for an additional Harbinger and 25% chance for a boss, there's also the line 'Currency shards dropped by Harbingers in areas can drop as currency items instead'. So maybe a very small chance of full ancient orbs and exalts dropping there?

With 'Emblematic' returning for Legion I'm gonna head up that way taking Essences, Kirac, Harby and Expedition along the way. Once I'm up to Exarch /Eater I will look at how I can specialise in to them but there is still too many unknowns, I at least know my starter build can do everything! I am not a blight hater bit I'm also not a believer so I can see the use in going that way too for some easy early days currency. I've got 9 days holiday booked from Friday so I will be mapping by Saturday afternoon so the tree is ready to go, may even give it a go.

Also a reminder, there's a whole league mechanic on top of all of this. I keep having to remind myself about ArchNemesis.

For early league it seems like a solid choice.
Looks like a very interesting end game league and progress

Havent decided on a build yet, i usually go SSF so a currency farmer doesnt appeal. Even tho bows are likely to be FOTM ill prob end up with my usual cyclone or BV starter. As for the atlas passive tree i love that i can spec out of things i dislike such as Blight, stick a load into Delve and Ritual etc and boost map sustain initially. If the league mechanic is even half decent this is shaping up to be a cracker

Anyone had much luck making an atlas passive tree? I've got a one I'm mostly happy with for the league start to gear up and push maps, but there's just so much stuff on it I want another 100~ points :p

Grim's trees are pretty good for early/mid game for sure. I've got a specialisation tree built too to focus on Expedition and Legion with the standard additional Strongbox, Rares, Kirac and Essences. Focussing on using <100 points as that'll be pretty easy to get in a couple of days and then go from there. By the time I'm ready to respect I should have plenty of regrets/scours/chances to get unmakings.....I hope.

I really don't see what the fun is in these top down ARPG games is and they're basically all the same. Tried a few and I give up with boredom after a couple of hours

well if you make stuff boring they also becomes boring.
Any game is a repetition, chess, Go, play cards?
same thing

fps games?
load shot kill?
seems boring
rts games, move troops fight stuff, same thing.

Go to work, eat food every day, can be horrible boring.

or you know understand the fun and enjoyment that a game can have for thousands of hours.

I have a couple of friends like this as well. They refuse to play anything but FPS v other players, All single player games are boring, any other genre of game is boring, and do not even attempt to tell them you like other kinds of games, if its not FPS and verses real people it must be boring and not worth the effort because AI is dumb and boring

Anyway I'll be starting with Blazing Salvo build this time around :)

Im doing my usual and avoiding all the hype builds (ea, pconc, ballistas, skelly, etc) but nothing else is jumping out at me.

Might just plump for EA unless I can find an Arc/Spark build I like

I've been set for weeks on a Bane Occultist starter, I did all the planning and prep, made a test run character last league but stopped playing early to prevent burnout. I practised what I would need to do for crafting, I have pretty much everything set.

Shame I've changed my mind to a Wave of Conviction igniter at the last second

Launch day.
Prep water, do some exercise and take small breaks while playing.
Atm we have a snowstorm here so hopefully this wont affect electricity....
That be a bummer
