Paypal Chargeback - Advice

if you do lose and paypal refund him though i doubt they will, just open a moneyclaim dispute and take him to court. it'll cost you £25 to do but you'll get that back when you win the case :D

This.

Give him a harsh life lesson.

Unless paypal has changed over the years it did strike me as a bit automated and futile fighting it. I've been screwed as buyer and seller though so I've little time for the bunch!

Had an ebay buyer do this to me the other week. For a £180 transaction. Oh the joy!

They literally waited until the day delivery was attempted, then claimed an unauthorised transaction on the credit card. Phoned paypal, sent the ebay listing, address, proof of postage with tracking number, emails from them asking when it would arrive and their signature at the other end when they collected it from the depot.

Money was released within 10 minutes of the phone call. Can't fault it really.

Well you got his address, and you know he lives at home, if he doesn't play ball just send a nice letter in post to his parents Mr and Mrs [SURNAME], included copies of everything you have and sure if his parents are respectable with have a thing or two to say :)

That sir...is a great idea...perhaps he will have his pocket money stopped for a few weeks :eek:

Just checked our fb messenger history, cant see anything past my initial messages sent on saturday....oh this little freckle doesnt know whats coming....screenshot the lot....what a plonker.

Ask him whats happened to the rest of your messages and see if the little scrote keeps on lying.

A sticker? Best thing to do is pay him a visit and take it back off his car, would be a shame if some of the paint were to get scraped off whilst you're reclaiming it.

Wow...read my message and now all of a sudden the history is back....i think this blokes a bit weak...im starting to think i want him to win and sod the £12 as its been entertaining so far....few bits of ammo left, scare the hell out of him with an unpredictable visit....nice letter to Mr & Mrs Evans stating their sons a waster...hmm lets see.

I will be honest now....i may need to eat some humble pie...but it still not massively clear if indeed i do need to.

I called paypal, gave my side of everything thats happened, they said that he had been in contact with paypal and said it wasnt right....theyve taken off the chargeback and the monies been released....so in all honesty....ive either **** him up and hes used common sense and seen ive got enough ammo on him and evidence to actually get him in trouble or hes telling me the truth...they couldnt tell me if his account had been hacked for obvious data protection act reasons.

But tbh, im glad i have a little faith back in the system.

I may actually play along a bit more but i think he maybe legit as i actually messaged him saying next week im the around his way on business and said id pop in and he said yes thats cool...again it maybe a bit of double bluffing....but i think ive made my point either way...i will say nothing now and lets see if he comes up trumps and messages me and states i understand youve got your money back....sorry for the inconvenience.

phewwwww
