Paypal owns Twitch troll

I've never understood it either, I mean if you make quality content for Youtube which actualyl has some proper production value then by all means make a buck off it but this tendency to just lob money at people for playing games is beyond me.

Exactly the same principle as giving money to a street entertainer but more techy.

I'm so tired of hearing any news of what amounts to **** parenting, why the **** did they have a child in the first place?

Hope he bankrupts them.

Some dids these days watch Twitch streams instead of cartoons, don't see the big deal myself. Don't see the attraction either, but then I'm not a kid anymore and I prefer to be actually playing games with my limited free time :)

Muchos schadenfreude for the troll trolling himself though :D

I've watched a couple of twitch streams: I can't say I see the appeal of spending a lot of time on them but if you're interested in a particular game and want to see how someone else plays and get some commentary on the tactics, etc. they can be pretty good. Or if you're thinking of buying a game and want a better look at it before you buy they can also be pretty good.

I am glad the streamers got the money, they were all so shocked.

That guy in the garage though....I thought he was going to collapse haha

Totally deserved to have the chargeback rejected. Its like those ***** that go up to couples in public and try to chat up the girl in front of their partner. The guy gets angry and go to hit the guy and he starts shouting "prank, prank" and points to the camera man 30 foot away. Its not funny and you are just being a **** to strangers. When they get hit they absolutely deserve it.

I think there is some confusion here. Paypal has no say whether or not a chargeback would go through, that is up to the troll's bank. Paypal have mediation over the dispute process though.

LOL this sounds like personal experience :)

You ever floored a guy for chatting up your missus?

Lol, nope. There has just been a wave of people "pranking" strangers in public and all they are is ***** winding up people they don't know to the point of violence and then trying to dodge the consequences by shouting prank!

Some of they are quite witty but a lot of them are just straight up insulting. Going up to a group of black guys and asking them for drugs.

The ones where people keep squeezing shampoo onto someones head when they are showing by the beach however are funny. :p

If someone wound me up to the point if me wanting to give them a smack they'd need a lot more than the word "prank" to prevent me from socking them.

People pay to watch football, people pay to watch movies, people pay to watch tv shows, all the same, entertainment being provided. Only difference is that donating to twitch streamers is optional, but if you enjoy the stream, what's wrong with supporting the host?

that is very different from tipping and tipping quite large amounts.

things like patreon or subs is perfectly understandable and most have a subscription model, this tipping malarkey is odd

Donations are prevalent because Twitch retains 50% of all subscription money. Donations go 100% to the streamer, plus they are a way to let you donate more than the £3 monthly sub amount.

a lot have other means of subscription, and these people aren't tipping like £3 most of the time.
it is far more to do with the need to see or get their name read out. As some sort of gratification and look i'm cool status.

I donate occasionally to a stream that plays metal gear solid games. The guys seriously know their stuff and often do 30/50/100/150+ hour marathons between them doing in depth story runs of all the games. I appreciate the entertainment so like to give back.

It hilarious that this kid is now stuck with the bill as it's not a new thing for people to donate troll amounts and then charge back later.

Some streamers just straight up give big donations back if they slightly suspect a troll as to not have to deal with any hassle.
