PC Building Simulator

I bet it doesn't have all the joys of actual PC building - like what happens to a new PSU you have saved up for weeks to buy only to find out it was 110V after plugging it into UK mains - bang
Or when CPU coolers don't fit and clips break, or GPUs being too big for the case so having to buy a new case, buying incorrect RAM etc. etc. (All when I started PC building age 16-20)

Or forgetting the IO shield :D

I cannot think of anything worse than this for a game, and I suspect anyone with a career in IT will be exactly the same.

Whatever will they come up with next? 'Group policy simulator' for when someone accidentally deletes the default domain policy... or 'dns simulator' when someone accidentally deletes every record at top level. Maybe even 'Netscaler simulator' for when someone reboots the live device instead of the test one

it doesn't even show you how to build a pc either.

it highlights an area and all you do is click on it and boom it's installed. you don't actually see how it got installed.

that video posted above was very cringeworthy. she's so excited about the most trivial of things. i guess she has to be entertaining but i think it would have been more entertaining just to slate it for what it is.

does that include all the wiring you have to do? If that is all it takes, it removes the fun. I remember building my first pc and I actually was getting confused with all the wiring or even trying to place some of the smaller wires on the motherboard. They could have atleast made it so you got manuals for each component that you can refer to and from that you gather where to put everything. If you installing wires or anything, clicking the area/object for a top down view where you would then use the mouse to manually place them.

Yes that includes wiring.

You click on PSU. You then click on motherboard and boom the wire is now installed in place.

I don't see any reason for this game tbh. It's pretty sad.

If you want to know how to build a pc watch a step by step youtuYo video for free. You can also spec it up on pc part picker website.

This has no real use for education over them. And as a game its really sad. I know there are sad people or young kids who might like it but apart from them I cannot see the use unless they update it with you having to build it properly.

They will also need to keep updating every few months with all the new parts

Any installing motherboard in a case with standoffs only to realise you don't need to standoffs and the motherboard doesn't fit, so you have to take it all out again :p

What is your problem? There are communities of people who enjoy these sort of games. Not everybody likes AAA, Multiplayer, wizz bang full price POPULAR games. I have 100's of hours in farming sim, Construction sim, mine craft and thousands of hours in Flight sim and GTA.

Rather than making out people are "sad" why not just accept that fact people are different to you, have different hobbies and interests and move on.

This looks like a great learning tool or if you are about to buy a PC and want to know roughly what its going to look like and how everything fits together.

The only drawback i can see is that PC hardware comes out so quickly i wonder if they will keep the product lines up to date for each component.

Nobody wants to build their dream future PC with parts from 2-4 years ago that nobody longer produces or supports.

Wonder if ocuk will be put in as a affiliate. Then u can have a go doing a 8 pack system.

Does the game, support custom water-cooling, modded cases, aio watercolours, sli, RGB led all over.

Does it do the most important thing, actually turn on and work and check temps and benchmark for stability. Lol....

I'd think it would be hilarious to build a pc on it and forget the CPU cooler and when u switch it on if it does that, watch the CPU go pop or something.

this is an extremely basic jigsaw game. it's nothing like a proper simulator.
