Hey all :D

I was thinking about PC gaming then I suddenly realised something...

..I can't think of a single 'epic' PC exclusive game, which troubles me.
So I ask - are there still any AAA PC games out there? Games which are (preferably) new? Games with stunning visuals, gameplay AND story without mods?

I'm not all that keen spending a lot of money on a PC just to play games which are available for my console.

(Btw, yes I did read that list of PC games, but it mostly seemed like old or multi-platform games)

Shogan 2:Total war? thats a Pc exclusive....possibly the best visuals in a game as well and brilliant gameplay!

Sounds like you are quite young, there have been many many PC only 'epic' titles and there still are. You are not going to get a single epic MMO on a console for example.

Yup ^^
Do you know of any recent/upcoming ones which would be...well..amazing? :D
I'm looking for something like maybe Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2, Halo: Reach etc in terms of quality/ style if that helps. Not an MMO, but 'normal' online play (pref coop :D )

The witcher 2, crysis , crysis warhead, shogun total war, stalker clear sky, starcraft 2, diablo 3, guild wars 2, star wars the old republic, arma 2 etc. now off to bed you got school tomorrow.

If you think of FPS style games then I too am stumped, but outside this their are a lot of exclusives i would consider AAA

Star Craft 2 is probably the obvious 1
Civilization V
Shogun 2 Total War

hmm okay seems i only play FPS and strategy then!

As the guy before said MMOs, is the new Star Wars Bioware MMO PC only? I think that will be big.

If SW:TOR tanks, it could be potentially destructive to pc gaming. If it is a great success, could spark a new era of the PC as the lead platform.

There is no way it can fail. Pretty much most people who play MMOs with any kind of frequency will at least try it.

I am not sold based on videos but gameplay could play out differently, I will certainly try it.

Also, I do not see how it would affect pc gaming at all if it tanked? SWG was pretty much a total flop and it had zero impact on anything. PC is the lead MMO platform already.

If the $300 million development cost rumours are correct, TOR will need at least 4 million + active subscribers to be considered a success.

WoW's total development costs were around $200 million.

Agreed the PC is the best for MMO and likely strategy too.But that isn't really what I'm looking for. I've checked most of the games you guys mentioned, just none seem AAA quality ;/

You are completely mental (or trolling) if you don't think the likes of shogun 2, crysis, the witcher ii are AAA.

There is nothing on the consoles which could remotely compete with these titles graphically.

Crysis looks good, witcher isn't too bad either. I'm just used to playing games like Uncharted, MGS4, Red Dead redemption, FF XIII etc. So to me they kinda seem a step back from what I'm used too. D;

Define 'fail' though? You do not know the objectives or time scales. Despite the lolworthy budget the fact they might not make a clear profit in the next 5 years might not be an issue to them in the grand scheme of things.

What are you playing on the console that you are comparing against and you deem AAA then?

If you say COD please leave now.

Any ideas on how much the developments of the expansions cost?

So you are looking for games with a whole bunch of flashy cutscenes then?

Not criticising those games, I own a few of them, but thats all they have in common is flashy cutscenes.
