Some new games have been added today ready for the launch later tonight (presumably).

If you already have Xbox Game Pass, you can convert it to "Ultimate" which gives you Xbox Live Gold + Xbox Game Pass + Xbox Game Pass for PC Games for £1 for the remaining time you have stacked on your account. Non-subscribers get it for 1 month.

I'm on 18362.145 but I had to install it using the Windows 10 Update Assistant as it wasn't showing in the normal Windows Updates.

No. There is still Xbox Game Pass and now there is also Xbox Game Pass for PC. Both are separate subscriptions. Buy you can't play the PC games (except the Play Anywhere ones) without having XGP for PC. It's something like £4 a month. But right now, you can convert all your existing XGP time into the Ultimate Pass for £1. It's a no-brainer.

You can now get the new Xbox for Windows app - search the store for "Xbox beta" and it'll be there.

Yes, so it will convert those 18 months to Ultimate and then add another 30 days on top. You just need to cancel it before the rebilling date if you want to go back to some other subscription.

Should still come in useful, you won't get EA games on Game Pass. Nor Ubisoft. I expect they'll be announcing their own pass tomorrow night.

Indeed! Neither titles were on my wishlist but I can play them anyway. That's one thing I like about Game Pass, being able to try games I would never have bought. They could turn out to be one of my favourite games of all time. (Like getting Hollow Knight from Humble Bundle.)

Well I'm not expecting much of Metro Exodus - I didn't like Metro 2033 so I never played Last Light. But the graphics on Exodus looked pretty good so I am curious to check it out.

For Halo, not at launch. Cross-play might be added in the future though. But you can with Gears 4 and presumably Gears 5.
