You're right in that it is a shared subscription but the games are different depending on whether you use it on Xbox or PC. e.g. You can't get Age of Empires on Xbox or Devil May Cry V on PC.
They are. There's nothing changing about Xbox Live Gold.
Well that sucks. My GP expired yesterday so I went to renew it thinking I would be able to get the offer of Ultimate 2 months for £2 but computer said no. So I had to go for PC only 3 months for £3.99. Nowt to be sniffed at all in the grand scheme of things but I don't get to play Gears 5 until 10th September now instead of 6th.
Yeah, I'm only going to keep subscribing whilst they keep offering for a quid or two for a month. And holy nutballs. Uplay+ starts in 2 days time so I'll be concentrating on Ubisoft for most of September because I want to play AC Syndicate and Far Cry 5 but that clashes with Gears 5 and Borderlands 3 launch. Yikes! So much stuff to play.
I'm not too bothered at the end of the day. Just a mini-rant. And I had totally forgotten about Uplay+ so Gears 5 probably won't get played until October anyway when the free Uplay+ month has ended. And even then, it could be November if I start Borderlands 3 first.

It's only a few hours to go before Gears 5 unlocks, I'm not overly fussed as I don't have an Xbox to make use of the Ultimate Pass. Ta, though.
@robfosters I would probably let it expire for a few weeks. There's bound to be some kind of special offer either for X019 mid November or Thanksgiving/Black Friday at the end of November.

It didn't get good until the middle for me. The last level is the best one. It might be a bit naff but I had the most fun.
Yes but any massive announcements will be held until X019 in November now.
If I'm right, Gears 5 is the last big, first-party game now until Project Scarlett arrives next November so Game Pass will just be topped up with indies and third-party stuff til then.
Isn’t MSIXVC the new way of delivering big Windows games? Xbox Virtual Container or something. There was a bit about it a while back as people thought it was a way of running Xbox games on Windows. but I think it uses the Xbox servers to provide the app instead of the Windows ones. Or something.

MS are killing it with Game Pass selling millions of subs to PC gamers direct for minimal money is the same if not way better profit margin as selling 100Ks of games at full price
Is Halo coming to Game Pass? I've only seen mention of it being on Steam. Not even on Microsoft's own store.
