"PC Games" Forum!

console... no keyboard, no mouse, no upgradability!

But fun for a broad spectrum of users!

Basically consoles and PC's are for different markets, so theirs no real comparison!

How bout UT3 on the PS3? Full keyboard, mouse and mod support.
I have both a console and a not bad PC, but the only game ive payed on my PC since getting my PS3 is Bioshock for a week or so. IMO you need a good PC and a console (all 3 would be best) these days to play all the great games on all the systems. I prefer games on my console for a couple of reasons things such as being able to rent and trade in games, the ease of use, oh and being able to browse net on the PC when playing games.

A good point! Although im sure i read in some gaming magazine about the big names in gaming working out a policy for conformity in gaming so the same title isn't released on like 6 different platforms.

But in the time being, i think with the cost of a ps3 at £350 ish, and in 4 years time or so a ps4 will will be probably the same amount if not higher, why not just upgrade your ram and graphics card on your pc for half the price and enjoy the games and even a few torrent'ed games ;)

The thing with PS3 and supporting KB/M on UT3 is that it's gonna appeal to a small userbase, I can't see many people being arsed to plug in a KB/M especially since many people have theirs in living rooms on/in cabinets. Can't see their being a large playerbase on the KB/M servers.

Very true, much like the Dreamcast

Today I bought Crysis for the PC. Its the first game I have bought in years for the PC. After a lot of messing about, installing new drivers and the likes of.,then setting up my game, tweaking graphics to make it playable. I realised something. My time is too precious to be messing about setting up a game when all I actually want to do is play it. For me PC gaming is dead. I just enjoy the simplicity of putting a disk in and playing.
