PC GAMES that do NOT suffer from Consolitis

Surprised to see Oblivion in that list, I was under the impression that many players were upset at the dumbed-down UI and stuttery engine (albeit third party mods are available)?

Have a look at Burnout Paradise maybe, ported to PC with a good range of content and top notch performance, also no stupid copy protection.

just played FIFA 10 on my mates PlayStation 3 and it's a totally different game to my PC version.

The gameplay is much faster ... the presentation is different .. and the graphics look much much better ....

..wonder why EA can release a totally different version of the same game for the different formats .

Anno 1404. The wii version is childlike, similar to everything on the wii. Not out on the xbox 360/ps3 can only be a good thing.

Tiger Woods is the same - got a shock when I fired it up on my PC having had fun on the XBox 360 - and (embarrassingly) I have to admit it was a far superior experience on the XBox - especially the multi player stuff  I think EA have the right idea, using different development streams for Console/PC, but it must be hard to justify the cost for smaller Publishers.

Usual crap, elitist PC gamers looking for someone to blame for **** developers.

Patently false as well, since console games have traditionally had to undergo much more stringent QA testing than PC games, since they can't be patched, and as a result are usually far less buggy than PC games.

However, other games that I know were developed for consoles do perform well on PC, such as COD4 and Psychonauts (but I know there must be more).

Which other games were ported to PC in such a way that they actually feel like PC Games?

That's two different things.

Some of the games in your list perform well, but still show their console roots. For example Resident Evil 5 or DMC 4, which are best played with a 360 pad and not a keyboard and mouse.

Another good port in a technical sense is Burnout Paradise.

While you are right, both PS3 and 360 games can be patched (not sure about Wii)

infact i would say that its console games that are now suffering pc-itis, you lot just couldn't keep the poor QA to yourselves and now the infection has spread.

damn you.
