To get Alan Wake I had to register, purchase, then it left me nothing to do but to download the Gamefly download client which looks to be a copy of Steam.

Once in the client the game was there waiting and it give you the choice to download or view key.

The key registers with steam

Yes, I ordered mine at 7:57, got confirmation at 7:59, activated it on Steam (after downloading their client) by 8:03.

Yes if you like Silent Hill games especially though it can be a bit repetitive but the story/scenery is really nice worth that price anyway.

+1 i found this game slightly repetitive towards the end but the graphics and story line are enough to keep you playing to the end.
