With GameFly, do you have to use the GameFly Download Client if the game activates on Steam?

No - you dont have to use their client if you dont want to. You will receive the game keys by email where you can then just redeem on steam.

Be careful though sometimes it not obvious so check the game out that mentions steam before just assuming it.

In case of Spec ops and Darkness2 both where straight forward keys which i received in seconds.

It said to install the client, but the keys come in your email invoice-if it's Steam titles.

I have bought a few Steam games on gamefly and have never had to install their client, just pop the key straight into steam.

Yay, my GameFly order is "Under Review" even though I've ordered from them countless times before using the exact same details without issue.

No problems here, confirmation straight away and serials available in the purchase history section under the order number. Two thumbs up.

Congrats?!

I'm not the only one who had issues, consider my post a warning of what can go wrong. I'm sure 95% of orders go through fine, but as far as I'm concerned my order should never of been flagged, used them loads, not changed any details since then.

It is all sorted now thankfully.

Orcs must die 2 for 3.7 euros! I tried to buy it, only to find that i already own it LOL!!!! It's a good thing that steam doesn't let us re-buy our forgotten and not-even-installed (let alone played) games.............
